If Slava comes at a good price, I think it's a good thing. He was always great in the playoffs and a role player who could produce. He may be a bit older now but keep a short contract and it could work out well. As for Fedorov, the Wings need to move on. Sergei never should have left, he still has some left in the tank, but I think it would be in the Wings best interest to explore new options. And I'm not one of the people who boos him, I appreciate what he did for us.

You know you're a Detroit Red Wings fan if...

I am so f***in guilty of this. Bad Vlad's were funny too. My brother's second child is named YZeric. He has an octopus tattoo on his leg as well as Larry Murphy and Tomas Holmstrom's autographs tattooed in. -
Don't let a few idiots spoil the bunch for you.

I agree...that's why I was a little disappointed in Cheli. But, everyone here is simply speculating. Cheli has been around long enough to know what's going on and I assume he made a decision he assumed was right. He doesnt need me, a 21 year old college student, putting him down on an online forum. It just seemed a little like poor sportsmanship.

Yeah 95/96 was Dino's last season with the Wings. He went to Tampa Bay after that I believe.

I dont care if they are goons. I was brought up to be the bigger man. You respect and honor the tradition of the game. And then if you still have a problem, you find them out back and take care of business. I dont know why Cheli didn't, and I love the guy so until we know, this conversation is a bunch of speculation.

Cheli should have shook hands...that's the end of it. If Darren McCarty and Claude Lemieux can be in handshake lines (though not shaking each others), then so can Cheli.

Thank you Red Wings! I honestly never thought they'd make it this far. They gave it a hell of a run, and had things bounced differently, maybe it'd be us going to the Finals. You'll always be our Red Wings, win or lose.

What do you mean "if"? The Wings had their chances to bury the game and take the series lead. Life sucks...onto Game 6. -

This has been my only positive assurance right now. I might puke....

Pronger proves by opening his mouth that he is infact a mindless goon. Not too surprising....but then again, when your GM is fellow caveman Brian Burke, what do you expect? "I tall...no help arms being high....head go squish"

Not that it means anything, but try not to panic if we don't win Game 5. The last WCF series we were in has worked out the same so far. Game 1 Win G2 Loss G3 Win G4 Loss G5 Loss G6 Win G7 Blowout

TSN: Pronger to Face Disciplinary Hearing

Well it's good that the NHL is doing at least this much. But I still doubt he gets anything out of it. -
So far I dont think anyone is pronouncing the right way...kind of like how Kronwall is pronounced Kronvall. The Detroit pronounciation has been KO PESS KEE But I think it would be KO PETCH KEE

"They can't handle us 5 on 5...they better be ready Tuesday." That's all. -

Yeah, I've always found baseball to be extremely boring, but I was definitely interested when the Red Sox came back against the Yanks in 04. And last season's Tigers run was something I'll never forget...that was incredibly exciting. We are lucky...Tigers, Pistons, and Red Wings........now if only we could do something about those fricken Lions.

For me, it's as simple as the best hockey game is always better than the best basketball game.

Used to be a huge Pistons fans when I was little until I discovered hockey. I really dont care much but during the lockout I got into them a little bit again. I pay attention to how they're doing but I dont go out of my way to watch games.
