Well, I'll agree that we havent handled them well 5 on 5...and I hope we are ready for them Tuesday. Here's to hoping Mr. Pronger meets Mr. Bertuzzi in a corner in the Whatever The Hell They Want To Call It Now Center.

Ref Sight and Whistles (the two goals)
Hockeytown Red Wings replied to RedWingAbner's topic in General
I'm not saying the Wings didnt play good. I'm saying the game was tied and there was nothing they could do about it. They had the rest of the third and OT to win, and they didnt. -
Ref Sight and Whistles (the two goals)
Hockeytown Red Wings replied to RedWingAbner's topic in General
I had a problem with the third Anaheim goal. I thought it should have been whistled too...but what can you do? The Wings had a chance to win it and didnt. -

I agree...I'll always remember that game too. I was in Florida and remember talking to dad on the phone saying "Oh well, onto Game 3." Of course...things took a good turn.

I was watching it at home with my dad and brother. I remember after Fedorov's goals and Homer's second goal we all went especially insane. The only time I think we've ever been louder was when we had the whole family over for Game 5 of the Finals and Shanny put it into the empty net to ice the game. The neighbors always say they dont have to watch the games to know how the Wings did. Yes it is.

Well, it has always been like this in the sense that national broadcast takes over once the Conference Finals start. It's just its never been a problem for you guys because everyone has ESPN.
-
That is f&%^in awesome!
-
Local channels dont get to carry after conference semifinals. It all goes national during the conference finals. No more Ken and Mickey for you guys....you get to watch the crap I've had to watch all playoffs.

Playoff games are on a whole new level. You havent experienced JLA til you've been there for a playoff game. Enjoy it, hopefully they get a win for you...and well, me too.

5 years ago, Bertuzzi....now, no question, Smyth.

You're not that gullible are you man? You shouldn't have questioned or doubted yourself for a second. Did you know the Red Wings almost moved to Cuba last season?

The New York Tri-State area refers to the area where New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania meet around NYC. Buffalo is not part of this region. -
Howe, Yzerman voted 4th and 6th best NHL players ever
Hockeytown Red Wings replied to wallerstein's topic in General
Yeah, Howe should be no further down than 3....but there a lot more people alive who saw Mario play than Gordie. -
Damnit I hope not. I hope its done in Game 6.
-
Hope Lebda is ready because he's the man. But we dont necessarily need him for Game 6 if he's still hurting. We've won two in a row and we can try a sub if he's not ready.

2-2-1-1-1, 2-3-2, or 3-3-1 series
Hockeytown Red Wings replied to SouthernWingsFan's topic in General
2-2-1-1-1 is perfect. The other ways give the team who hasnt earned home ice an advantage.
