It's a ticking time bomb b4 Seider/Edvinsson/Raymond/Kasper and our other newly other acquired grade A prospects simply take over and dominate. I want to stuff this team so full of young talent that it bursts into the playoffs (while adding select vets like Perron/Chiarot/Horvat/Orlov along the way to teach stuff) but we might have to wait another 2-3 seasons for this climax event.

I dont think you have to have elite centers necessarily (though that is my prefered combo). But Larkin and Horvat are not elite IMO... and we also dont have elite wingers... or elite defenders (yet)... or elite goal tending. SY just loaded us with vet mentors. Id rather go for high draft picks.

Whipped out my crystal ball Horvat and Larkin will both go to UFA. Larkin wants to stay but is still demanding a 9x8. Citing face of the franchise BS that SY doesnt care about. So SY inks Horvat to an 8x7 and pulls his offer from Larkin. Larkin is unable to find any team willing to offer him 9 mil so he ends up signing with CBJ 8.5x7 (a worse deal than SY had offered) Despite making less AAV Horvat turns out to be the more productive player. And SY wins again.
