Am I the only one that woulda taken Mantha back for a 2nd and 4th? Buchnevich is who I want but Mantha woulda been a decent consolation at a fraction of the price. Would STL want Fabbri back? Fabbs, Berggren, 24 2nd, 25 1st for Buch?

Id like a bigger upgrade then Gudas/Kesselring in that spot. Andersson/Durzi would be better imo. In my scenario Edvinsson is in for Maatta (traded). You dont want Ed? dont think hes ready? or just dont think hell be up this season?

Holl is the player you dump so Petry can be the 7d. Chiarot is NOT our issue. I agree. Maatta wouldnt be a dump like Holl tho. Maatta would be the player added in a trade package for an upgrade on d. If were trading for a dman the team would probably want a roster d coming back. Maatta would have value there with 1 year remaining at a reasonable $3m.

Its different going into games expecting rather then hoping to win. No team behind is catching us. I want to pass the Laffs. I have 4 rooting interests for the rest of this season. Wings win. Leafs lose. Cats win. Bruins lose. This team can beat Boston in 7 games.

Ideally we trade 2 dmen Maatta/Holl for a rd upgrade and promote Edvinsson. We sub 2 bottom pair dmen for Edvinsson and a Andersson/Durzi/Zub and this team goes from good to scary good.

I dont mind trading a 2025 1st for a longterm piece that fits in with the core. ASP looks like a steal but thats gonna be more and more rare where were picking now. If you can get a legit top 3 d in his prime under contract without giving up major building blocks you do it.

You trade for Andersson to bolster the d this season but more importantly going forward. Imagine a top 4 of Walman-Seider / Edvinsson-Andersson next season. Chiarot/Maatta-Holl/Petry as 3 pair with Johansson/Wallinder/ASP all knocking on the door.

Im not worried about teams 7+pts behind us winning games well keep pace ahead of them. Im more watching tbl tor and to a lesser extent fla bos.

Like Durzi alot but any trade for a d needs to send a roster d the other way. Maatta instead of the 3rd or Gost and downgrade the prospect.

With 50% retained Id be down but your not getting those 2 players for that package. 2 bottom 6 F and bottom 3 D + 1st, 2nd doesnt equal top line W and top 3 D. Package would start with Edvinsson/Danielson imo
