Really...Who cares about Sundin, I'm tired of him and his drama ...retire already...f**ken Baby.

Best draft selection they ever made, just a little too late.

And thats why when Montreal came and knock on his door he wanted nothing to do with it. Your way off. He played a huge part in the way the wings have transformed these last 12-13 years (maybe more). In Montreal he went to a team that was totally stacked and I'm not saying he had nothing to do with Montreal winning. In Detroit the whole team philosophy changed because of Bowman and it all started with Bowman pulling Stevie aside and changing his game. He would never have left Detroit if it wasn't for his son. He's said it plenty of times that he has coached many teams but that Detroit was extra special to him. He is a Red Wing through and through. He's going to Chi town to sabotage the Hawks

Good luck to Scotty and Thank you Very Very Very Much!!! Worst part of it all is that he knows Detroit really well and thus knows our weakness' WAIT!!! we don't really have any weakness'. Scotty practically built this team ( not totally) and its now indestructable We also know some of your tricks I don't feel bad for him leaving, Just like when Shanny left.

I know of a loop hole, but I dare not mention it. And I really do know of a loop hole. I would mention it to the wings organization 1 on 1 , but I wouldn't post it for the simple fact that it could get out to other managers ala Burke.

You've been drinking too much jerkwater.
-
I agree totally, as long as they wear the winged wheel I like 'em.
-
Maybe 56 games.....maybe. You lost 50 bucks for sure!

I agree with everything exept #10, you forgot Homer.

I've met alot of hockey players in Montreal. I used to work at a luxurious condominium Building many years ago when I was a student and there were always Hockey players moving in and out. Schneider, Wilkie, Ulanov, Tremblay, Ronald Corey, Claude lemiuex and those are just some names. There would be alot of players walking in with other players that didn't live there. There was also Michael Routtenberg who lived there (he was part owner of the expos) He used to walk in with many ball players like Pedro Martinez, Moises Alou, and Larry Walker to name some. But the best was when I got to play pick-up Hockey with Matt Schneider he was on my team and on another occasion I played against Chelli both games were at Lower Canada College (Schneider played for the leafs then and Chelli I believe was in Chicago at that point). I also got to play one time with Mark Messier when he was in town to film one of his Lays potato chip commercials. Also at Lower Canada College better known as L.C.C. Too bad I never met Stevie or Shanny. Oh almost forgot I met Cam Neely once and I still have his Hockey stick which he signed.

WOW!! sorry but your knocking on probably the greatest hockey mind EVER. Please mods don't let this thread continue it is totally ridiculous.

I agree "win it for Hossa" Next year we will sign another player hungry for the cup and start it all over again Win it for "Sundin" Year after Win it for "Bert" Year after Win it for "Luongo" and so on, we may put together the longest stanley cup winning streak this way and take the lead in cup victories

I'm with you!! And it seems to be a big lock!

(Doggy)[Do you people not understand the difference between an 18 year old and a 21 year old? Francis Pare was better than Deschamps because he'd had 3 more years of development and experience. Honestly, it's comparing apples and oranges.] Aussie...no wonder, stick to rugby you obviously don;t know jack about hockey. I have seen latendresse play and he's okay but not great, as for Paré I have seen him play many times and this kid is dynamite. I am not basing it on his stats.

Hello fellow Wingnuts, I have a quick question that i'm sure someone here can answer. The Griffins have signed this kid Francis Paré, does that mean that the wings have dibs on him or is he now Red Wings Property? Because I have seen him play and only one word describes him....WOW. I can't beleive he went undrafted. I'm telling you all that this kid has star written all over him. # Francis Pare Pos: Center D.O.B.: 06/30/87 From: Lemoyne, PQ Height: 5'10 Weight: 185 Shoots: Right Drafted: Undrafted Acquired: Signed contract with Grand Rapids (AHL) 6/13/08 Personal: Plus: Decent skater lacking breakaway speed... Superior on-ice vision... More known as playmaker despite goal totals... Works well in front on the powerplay... Minus: Doesn't have rinkwide speed... Undersized... Big numbers in the QMJHL don't necessarily translate to the AHL... Organizational Comments: What GRC says: Summer 2008: Pare put up some big numbers in the QMJHL, garnering league MVP and a first all star team birth. It remains to be seen whether his game will translate to the pro level where he has less time and space to make plays. If he can make the adjustment he should bring some skill to the team. I agree! But I think on the right team he will excel.
-
I've seen him play enough times to say this kid is the real deal. He has tremendous vision and is very sound defensively +54 last year. Was the league MVP this past year. And he's only 21 years old. This year one of his teammates was selected Nicholas Deschamps by Anaheim and he ain't as good as Paré.

So soon they forget... In the beginning Stevie did it alone... Someone mentioned the "Deadthings" and it was so...Til Stevie.

Lidstrom is just amazing in all aspects of the game. Yzerman was also amazing and much more than that. When a player is able to make the sacrifices Stevie made it speaks volumes not only about ability but ab out character. Taking a reduction in points to help the team, playing on one leg, blocking shots with your 1 good leg...thats the stuff legends are made of. Yes, Lids is amazing but did he really make sacrifices?? Maybe he didn't have too. God now I feel horrible!!! Sorry Lids..if you read this, I wouldn't trade you for Bobby Orr. I just prefer Stevie. My rankings are. ALL TIME, Stevie, Lids, Shanny, Vladdy ETC No really all time, Stevie, Lids, Orr, Maurice Rocket Richard.
-
I agree with you, Shanny left so that the Wings can go ahead and win another. He felt that he was only holding back Hank, Pav and others. There is definately no regret there. I hope that if Shanny scores in Detroit next season that they play the jig for him.
-
Needless to say, I have been a die hard Stevie fan all my life. Last night i stayed up watching to see if someone would pass the cup to Stevie. My wife kept on telling me "don't hold your breath" he is too much of a gentleman to intrude on Lidstroms teams moment. When I saw him in the press box speaking with Colin Campbell, I must admit I felt sad and proud once again...what a selfless human. He was raised right. Way to go Stevie!!! but hey, in the next couple of days go over and have a sip. Stevie! Stevie! Stevie! Stevie! Stevie! Stevie! Stevie! Stevie! Stevie! Stevie! Stevie! Stevie! Stevie! Stevie! Stevie! Well here goes, 7-1 Wings. I smell a spanking.
