I hear you bro. I used to play at Anaheim Ice and I would always rock my Wings gear and just talk smack to anyone that would speak up. That was almost never until the Ducks swept the Wings and then the season they had last year. That's the thing about So Cal though. Everyone just roots for whoever is better or winning. When the Ducks missed the playoffs the year after going all the way to game 7 of the Cup Finals, NOBODY was rocking any Ducks gear on their person or their car.

I got into hockey around 1989-1990. I got the first NHL game for my Sega Genesis, started to learn the teams and players, watched highlights, etc. I was really impressed by Yzerman and started to follow him and the Wings and have been a fan ever since. They are the only NHL team I've ever rooted for. I was never into the Kings or Ducks out here in So Cal. -
20 more hard minutes. We gotta get on them harder in the 3rd to generate more chances. Can't let Calgary tie this one.

My cable sucks. I have HD channels but Versus is not one of them. I'm getting DirectTV in a few months.

Datsyuk. He carried the team at times when guys were hurt (specifically Hank) and in a lot of late season games he was the only guy scoring at all. He was a force and had he played like that the entire season, he would have been top 5 in scoring.

Calgary would be a tough opponent but out West, who isn't? There will be no easy road to the Finals this season. Besides, the Wings owe Calgary some payback.
