I'm selling my extra ticket to training camp this year. I have 1 ticket to each day of camp. Each day the seat is section C (dead center ice) in either row B or C so this is an awesome seat. At last check, only standing room was available for purchase. Asking prices per day are below: Saturday - SOLD Sunday - SOLD Monday - SOLD Tuesday (red vs white game) - SOLD

Just further proof that the CBA was a joke and truly not needed. Bettman needs to go.

I'd say this fits the bill in terms of what Kenny wanted. Good, cheap signing and it paves the way for them to unload the useless Derek Meech. He should have gotten the boot long ago in favor of Kyle Quincey, a move which continues to look horrible as Quincey develops into a solid offensive D-man who would look outstanding on our 3rd pair.

Miller is valuable. Can't dump him. That hurts the depth.
-
Dump Meech, sign Willie. Problem solved.

Thanks for the tip. I missed out on a lot of autographs at their practice before their last game against the LA Kings because it was pouring rain. Only Maltby, Stuart, Williams and Lebda stopped. I missed a few others just trying to get over there. I have a ton of autographs already but mostly on photos. I really want to get my jerseys signed. Is it best to try before or after practice?

I got my Yzerman jersey signed by Stevie at the NHL Draft right when he walked into Staples. I was posted up right on the rail by Tampa's table. It was truly surreal as he is my hockey idol. I just recently purchased the frame for it. Then I attended the Jimmy Howard signing at Monkey Sports in July down in Santa Ana, CA. Jimmy was awesome. He signed an 8x10 and my Winter Classic jersey. Well then my now ex-girlfriend (who attended the signing with me) informed me she won the raffle that Monkey Sports had and that she was happy to give me the grand prize:

Any tips from you camp vets on getting autographs? I am dead set on trying to get all of my player jerseys signed (Z, Dats, Helm, Lidstrom and Franzen). Do it and buy my extra ticket!!!
-
Just as an FYI to anyone interested: it is 1 ticket to each day of camp that I am selling. I bought a pair but I am now going solo so that extra ticket (sitting next to me) to all 4 days is what I am selling.

The bonuses to Toews and Kane are killer. Enjoy your Cup Hawks fans. Your team is gonna look VERY different next year and are coming back to the pack.
-
I wouldn't be so quick to assume the Hawks are dead in the water and will be forced to trade great/strong players for nothing. Does a player's cap hit count if he clears waivers and goes to the minors? I suspect that will happen with Huet. I think Eager, Burish and Madden are as good as gone (UFA's). The problem for them will be how to get Hjalmarsson locked up (RFA). Teams are gonna look long and hard at that kid. Ladd is also an RFA and you have to think he's gone. Byfuglien and Brouwer are RFA the season after. This team will still be a contender but they are going to come back to the pack a little bit with the loss of some depth. I can't imagine a team helping them by taking Huet or Campbell, especially at those dollars. http://www.hockeybuzz.com/cap-central/team.php?team=CHI

Count me as very disappointed he signed for the dollar amount he did. That hurts next year's team, plain and simple. This team was very unimpressive during the post season save for 2 games out of 12 and the addition of Hudler, while great, does not fix the problems.

I'd still take him on the Wings in a heartbeat.

Hey guys. Need some help on the Authenticity of a jersey
WingNut 25 replied to Camerica19's topic in General
It is not authentic. Reason being - you can see the CCM tag on the neck. Wings wore Nike jerseys that year. There should also be an NHL shield on the bottom right and CCM next to it. I used to own a white authentic Nike w/ McCarty and both patches from that year on it and that had the swoosh and NHL shield at the bottom. I sold it last year or else I'd show you a pic. But this is definitely a fake. -
Been awhile since I have posted. I'm planning for the first time this year to attend training camp in Traverse City, something I have wanted to do for years. Have any of you been and if so, can you give me advice on travel, hotels, etc.? Also, if anyone is planning on buying tickets on April 24th at the in-person on sale, please let me know if you'd be willing to stand in line (or have someone with you stand in line) and get me tickets. Obviously I can PayPal you the money for the tickets and give you extra for your time and effort. I'm in So Cal and will be on a cruise so I cannot get to Traverse City that day. Just trying to be proactive so I do not miss out.

Predators sign on to stay in Nashville until at least 2012
WingNut 25 replied to commadore183's topic in General
My best friend lives in Nashville and I got to games when I go out and visit. I hope they stay. -
How far is the Canadian border from Traverse City?

September 18-21.

Awesome information, thank you! So you've never struck out on the fax day?

He's having a tough year and learning from it. Give him time. Not every Dman we draft is going to turn out like Lidstrom.

MLive says none of the injuries are serious. They are all being re-evaluated today.

WCQF GAME 4 GDT: Red Wings 6 at Blue Jackets 5
WingNut 25 replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
He's hurt. No doubt about it. Now what do we do? Does Babs risk further injury or put in a cold goalie in a 5-5 game that can swing momentum to the Jackets? -
Samuelsson is not a big loss. Hudler is. I wish they would trade Filppula to free up that cash for Hudler. Very excited that Hossa and Franzen are close to staying. Franzen is at 24 goals now. He'll pass 30 no problem.

I love Aaron Ward and wish we had him back.
