Born in New Brunswick in '86, grew up watching Leafs games with my Dad...Wendel Clark was my first favorite player. Moved to Michigan at 6 years old, quickly converted to the Red Wings and took on Sergei Fedorov as my new favorite player.

Whatever, the HHOF has garbage for standards. If Dick Duff (AKA the Kris Draper of 40 years ago) is a Hall of Famer then Sundin should have skyscraper monuments erected in his honor and be proclaimed the supreme emperor of hockey. Sundin is better than at least half the players in the Hall right now, his biggest "flaw" is he's been languishing on garbage Leaf teams his whole career. With his ability, I don't see why he couldn't have put up 1500-1600 points if it had been Sakic going to the Leafs instead of him. Obviously this isn't relevant to whether he'll make the Hall or not (I'm on the fence), but I do see him as one of the most underutilized and unappreciated superstars of my lifetime.

Yeah the Oates deal was crappy...he was restless and unhappy playing behind Yzerman all the time, the Wings were kinda handcuffed on that one. My vote would still go to the Marcel Dionne "trade." I have no qualms with Shanahan being named #1.

DAMN. I know Tank's old and slow but I didn't expect Kimbo to have his way with him like that. Kimbo looked good, better than I expected anyway...he kept his distance and picked his shots well, Tank was helpless. Kimbo just kept knocking him down until he stopped getting back up. Buentello has said in interviews that he wants Kimbo, allegedly their managers have been talking and they say right now it looks like about a 60% chance of happening.

Those two Sundin ones were awesome...is that Jim Gaffigan I see in the first one?

Unforunately for Kimbo he's most likely doomed to spend his career as little more than a novelty act...even if he gogoplatas Tank he's not going to gain anyone's respect by fighting 42 year old bar brawlers. If he were to beat up on the likes of, say, Paul Buentello, then we'll talk. And yeah UFC fight cards have been rather lame and unfulfilling lately...it's always one or two interesting matchups, and the rest are either 2 no-names or a good fighter vs some scrub...although the next few events look fairly decent.

The Flyers were irresponsible and they deserved to be punished...maybe not 25k worth of punishment, but still - retire your damn players before the game like everyone else. It's not fair to the guys who have to sit around in a locker room and get cold for half an hour.
