It seems to me as though if Marian had a cap hit of 7m here, we could still afford Flip for at least most of this season, if not all of it, and possibly deal him after next year perhaps on draft day for some high picks? Word, LDi03

Not because I'm too lazy to do this, but because I know you will be able to give me an answer quickly: How problematic? Is it doable? Or is this a complete pipe dream? Because for Hossa, I'd obviously not mind losing one of Fil, Huds, or Franzen to make room. Hell, maybe two of the three, to be honest, if we could get nice picks in return. Word, LDi03

I was scared coming into this series. Still am. But, the Wings won this thing in more than a convincing manner, and I'm really surprised that Crosby and Malkin didn't show more composure after being nearly given the first period on a plate by the refs. Either way, the Wings proved that they can lose their number one goal scorer, be on the refs bad side for near an entire period, and still slaughter the best team (besides themselves) in the NHL.
