Well, it really bums me out, because these two playoff games are the first games that I've been to since the deadline, and I haven't got a chance to see him in person yet. DAMMIT! Word, LDi03

I started watching hockey in 1995-96 during the Stanley Cup Finals when The Avs played the Panthers, and I just liked the Avs because they won. We lived in North Carolina at the time, and the next year when the Wings won, I liked them too. I was young and had absolutely no idea about the brawl, so they were my two favorite teams. When we moved to Michigan, and I was in a sports card shop, an employee asked me who my favorite team was, and I told him that I had two: the Red Wings and the Avalanche! I have never seen a more surprised facial expression in my life. That, combined with the convenience of having Fox Sports Detroit in my living room to keep track of the Wings cemented me as a lifelong Wings fan. And, yes, I realize that it's all because of the 97 cup, but, oh well. I didn't watch hockey before that, and I haven't changed teams since, no matter who's won. Word, LDi03

Yeah, these guys are really really bad. It seems like any shot by Nashville gives them heart attacks and any quality scoring chance by San Jose is basically garbage not worth getting excited about. Word, LDi03

In terms of a safe bet, sure, I'd take Kipper. In terms of "when this goalie is on his game," I'd pick Dom. When Dom is on, he is the best in the game. This isn't me being a Wings homer. I've loved him since I started watching hockey, and he's never ceased to amaze me. Word, LDi03

I might even put offense @ equal if Lang continues his habit of actually being worth a damn in the playoffs. Look at last year and the year we acquired him - he was actually damn good! Word, Ldi03

They said it was the first time that all three NY AREA teams made it in. I'm wondering if that means the Isles, the Devils, and the Rangers, because Buffalo isn't anywhere near the same AREA that NYC is. Either way, all four of them are in. Word, LDi03
