I wonder what kind of jawing is going on out there between those guys. Would love to hear it.

He wasn't stopped; the Caps had the night off.

I know the Pens aren't exactly a Stanley Cup team this year, but that was a very satisfying win, regardless. Oh, Sidney, YOUR TEARS TASTE LIKE CANDY.

The Wings really returned the favor, beating Calgary with a comeback win. This game really underscores the importance of Holmstrom and Franzen. Some of the clowns here were bagging on Homer earlier this season but he's an essential part of the offense. This was a really big win. Nice job, Wings.

YEAH!!!!!

GIVE ME THAT FISH.

Tremendous kill. Well done, boys.
-
Rafalski with his 437th high sticking penalty this year. Brutal.
-
DATSYUK!!! After Lids missed the open net. Whew.
-
Nice, Jimmy! Wings go right back on the PP now.
-
Ridiculous to call a penalty shot there. Howard's gotta make this stop.
-
Brutal shift by Kronwall.

It's unfortunate because, if I'm right, they're not going to win this game!

There are nights where you watch this team and know that they're not going to score any more goals. This night, unfortunately, feels like one of them.
-
This officiating crew is a disgrace. Bad calls, missed calls and they can't get out of the way of the puck. Fire this bunch of incompetent f**ks.
-
All the people who dismissed the idea that adding just one or two forwards (Franzen and Holmstrom) back to the lineup would make a difference in the scoring need to EAT IT. It's a completely different offense when those guys play.

All I want is to see someone pummel Matt Cooke within an inch of his life. Is that too much to ask?
-
I'm not quite in doomsday mode but this loss is tough to swallow. The Flames were sellers at the deadline; they gave up on the playoffs a few weeks ago. But they just passed the Wings for 8th place in the conference. Annoying.

Brutal PP effort.
-
The thing I'm concerned about is the Flames haven't had a PP yet. And whether the Wings commit an actual penalty or not, the refs are going to call one or two before this period is over.
-
As long as Joel Quenneville is Chicago's coach, the Wings have nothing to worry about facing Chicago in the playoffs. Nothing at all.
-
This was a big win. The 3rd period display of just sitting back was pretty sad, but the way the Wings just owned the 2nd was beautiful to watch. Their best players played great and they had a nice comeback win on the road despite a mediocre effort by their goaltender. Most importantly, the Wings get 2 points.

This isn't the medal round. Canada has plenty of time to correct whatever needs fixing and roll from here on out. But yes, the U.S. played with a lot of heart. -

Michigan talent representing big time in this game. Rafalski, Miller and Kesler all came up huge. Canada played a hell of a game. I still don't understand how they ever lose games in international competition. Every time they had the puck in the US zone, it was terrifying. Yeesh.
