Babs confirms Nick took a puck on the leg somewhere, nothing believed to be too serious. Not sure if he'll play the next game or not.
-
Zetterberg is playing like a shadow of his usual self, man. He couldn't make a single play getting the puck into the Nashville zone there. Even the mediocre Nashville defenders were stopping him no problem.
-
Hahahahaha
-
Too much east-west and not enough going to the net. PLAY THE GAME HARD.
-
I've never wished bodily injury on a Detroit Red Wing, but Tomas Kopecky is testing my limits.
-
Hossa getting roughed up with no teammate anywhere in sight.
-
Harold, it would be completely unprofessional and inappropriate of me to extend my utmost appreciation for the genius of your last retort. So, of course, I won't.

Hard to believe there's anything seriously wrong with Lidstrom. He finished his shift fine. The Wings didn't show up for this game. It just sucks that I watched this game instead of doing something else tonight, because if I had known they weren't going to give a strong effort, I wouldn't have bothered.
-
No favorable whistles tonight, but the Wings have nobody to blame but themselves for some brutal powerplay efforts.
-
Tootoo is such a diving queen.
-
I'd like to see the Wings a little more incisive with the puck. They're making some lazy passes and getting outworked in the race for the loose pucks.
-
Actually, that's the correct way to pronounce it.
-
Um, you're allowed to shoot the puck on power plays.

Say what you will about McDonald's (I don't like the food much, either), but they are the best run fast food chain by far. They just do sh** right. They're faster getting you through the drive-through and don't f**k up your order nearly as often as the other chains do. Plus, they're the only ones you can always count on to have that garbage can with the long chute as you pass through the drive-through. You know, the one you can dump all the trash in your car into on your way out so you've got room to put your drinks in your cup-holders.

Blackhawks fans. They're a bitter, miserable, hateful bunch.
-
If all my post does is generate responses like this, then it was worth it! Merry Christmas!

I disagree. I generally like Chicago sports fans, but Blackhawks fans in particular are the worst in all of pro sports. As far as I'm concerned, what they deserve is to suffer a lifelong case of Stanley Cup blueballs that they take to their graves. They've asked for every bad thing they've gotten, too. Instead of cheering their team, they chant "Detroit Sucks," even when they're not playing the Red Wings. You think that's not a factor in why they've been so bad? It's all because their fans are so crappy. You reap what you sow, and the Blackhawks fans have reaped a brutal, savage, karmic assf**king for being the worst fans in all of pro sports.

History of upsets or not, the Western Conference is a brutal place to be. The Canucks could easily get bounced in the first round. I would have liked his chances to get deep in the playoffs better in New York.
-
It figures the Red Wings finally play a good game and I don't get to watch it. That's okay, I'll take it!
-
The problem with the Sharks playing tonight is we don't get a good measuring stick game for these teams, just like last time when the Wings were tired from playing Anaheim the night before.
-
You know it's bad when the national tv crew's play-by-play guy says, "Franzen tackled, no call."
-
Whenever I see the Wings unable to get the puck out of their zone for 1 or 2 minutes straight, I always see Stuart and Kronwall on the ice.
-
They've done that a few times, the problem is they play the rest of the game the way they did in the first today.
-
I was about to comment on how they rarely call penalties in the 3rd period of games anymore and they finally go ahead and blow the whistle. Now I want to go look at the stats and see if it's true. It sure seems like they put the whistles away in the 3rd this year.
