They messed up the call.
-
Oh, that's a goal.
-
Thank you. Just saw the replay, Cajanek never took his gloves off. Therefore, it wasn't a fight, so no 3rd man in, I guess.
-
Markov! Where's the third man in penalty??????????
-
I really think there's something wrong with Kelly. Everything about him is so strange. From his facial expressions (if you're unlucky enough to see his face) to his delivery and the things he says. Maybe Alzheimers or something? Whatever it is, he's the worst play-by-play man in the NHL, by a massive, gigantic margin.
-
That's John Kelly you're listening to, right? Enjoy!
-
I agree with this. The late call was a bit annoying, but it was a fair penalty. Regardless, a Red Wing not getting the worst of a hit is noteworthy!
-
It was bad, yeah. He's been laying hits like that for his whole career.
-
Seems like every pass or loose puck is just out of the reach of a Red Wing stick. So close so many times now.
-
It was lame, regardless.
-
Why are you singling him out? What about Schneider and Kronwall?
-
Yeah, the 45 year old didn't do enough there. He should have turned the other cheek and counted his blessings it wasn't him, like the rest of the guys on the ice. Would that make you happier?
-
What are you talking about? After Niemenen plowed Lebda's head into the boards, Chelios was the only one on the team who even showed up to object.
-
This is the first game I've seen that makes me wonder a little about the clubhouse or problems with the coach. Losing three games in row, you'd think the team would show some sense of urgency in a game like this. But they've come out flat and even seeing their teammate go down with an injury hasn't awakened them.
-
I'm glad they're sticking up for their teammate. That's what they should do. That said, f**k the Blue Jackets.
-
I have to admit, I'm shocked by this. Earlier in the season, it seemed pretty lopsided. That's interesting.
-
Good news. Let's hope it continues in the playoffs. Hank can't get back soon enough.

I'm cheering for the guys on my team NOW. Is the way to support the "current Red Wings roster" to cheer for the guys who play for other teams now to beat them? I'm not saying people have to boo former players or hate them. I'm saying if you're cheering on a division rival to beat the Red Wings in a critical game in the battle for the division, then you're not a fan of this team now. Because if you were, you'd cheer them on to win every time they take the ice. Team first, players second.
-
If you cheered for the Blue Jackets to win the game, just because you like the player on their team who scored the goal, then you're not a Red Wings fan. Because a Red Wings fan wants the Red Wings to win. Why doesn't this make sense?
-
The fans are too busy feeling bad for ex-Wings on the other team to cheer.
-
What are you talking about?
-
Was this for me? You're rooting for the Blue Jackets to win the game and still think you're a Red Wings fan? How's that work?
-
I don't boo, it's not my style. But I've never understood why this stuff bothers people. Fedorov had his reasons for leaving, the fans have their reasons for booing. Cheer for the name on the front of the jersey, not the name on the back. That's how it's supposed to go. Do what you can to give your team an edge. Get the players on the other team off their game. It's booing, for cripes sake. This isn't some Greek tragedy. Nobody's wishing terrible things on the guy. They're freakin' booing. Fans aren't going to continue being loyal to a player if he stops being loyal to them. It's a two way street. Non-issue. And if you're happy Fedorov won the game for Columbus, then you're not a Red Wings fan. Just sayin'.

You're right, Homer hasn't been doing much. But he's dealt with an injury and had his line broken up with the loss of Zetterberg, so I can cut him some slack. Lang and Samuelsson have been in season long slumps.
