Why not get Ossi Väänänen? He's playing in europe so he could had for cheap. Assets: Has prototypical NHL size. Loves to bang bodies. Moves the puck efficiently and is defensively responsible. Flaws: Needs more work on his coordination and lateral mobility. Has limited offensive upside. Must stay away from serious injury. Career potential: Defensive defenseman. That way we wouldnt be wasting any picks or youth.

Most finnish players are stuck in defensive roles in their teams, doesnt matter if they have offensive skills or not. Case in point, Ville Nieminen, the guy has above average scoring skills but hes stuck on the 4th line roles. Most finns are really good defensively, but not many shine offfensively. I presume that if Ville Nieminen or Niinimaa were swedes, they'd still be in NHL, for gods sake Anders fkin Ericsson is still in the league and he really sucks and blows at the same time!!!
