I'm sorry, but Bertuzzi just didn't fit here with the players we want to give opportunity to this season, ESPECIALLY for the price he got. He didn't go out and contact Anaheim, Brian Burke contacted him and gave him the obsene amount of money over two years, something I'm glad the Wings didnt do. And as far as Schneider, I feel he's in the same boat. Rafalski is definitely an upgrade IMO, and takes far less penalties. Yes, Schneids was a gritty player, but 3/4 of the time he hit someone, his stick hit their face too, resulting in a penalty. Rafalski is light on his feet, and has a great first pass. he has that vision. And he's slippery. Regardless, I won't boo Schneids or Bert. Ill miss Schneids, but Bert was only here for a short period of time.... Some fans just like to jump on the bandwagon of booing people who leave Detroit. The only person Ill ever cheer against is Fedorov, but only when he plays the Wings. He chose to go to Anaheim for the same amount of money we were offering. Traitor right there. However, I do wish him the best and hope he bounces back sooner rather than later in Columbus.

Their defense this year is pretty good, along with the snipers they have up front in Statsny ,Svatos, Hejduk, Sakic, et al. As a previous poster said, I have to agree that Budaj will be the final piece. If he plays well, they're in the playoffs. Hell, id like to even see Theodore bounce back this season, he was a good goalie. Don't get me wrong, I despise the Avs, but their team should be a playoff team this year, and hopefully we meet.

Mildy. I believe (forgive me, i taped the game last night and stayed up til 3am watching it, so my mind isn't all there) that Hank was centering both Sammy and Huds. Id like to see one of them with Datsyuk. Judging from last nights game, our "#1 line" looks to be Hanks line. Ideally, with Sammy being somewhat small and more finesse and Hudler being small and skilled, the top two lines in my eyes would ideally be... in no particular order, Homer - Pavel - Hudler Franzen - Hank - Sammy That way we have a tumbler on both lines, and some hands to go with pavel and hank. Just my 2 cents.

That first line won't stay intact. It is pretty much decided (paraphrasing from multiple sources) that Hank and Pavel will be split, each centering the first two lines.

Um... are you forgetting that they have some pretty decent WRs? The Giants offense will be fine. Looked great last night, before Eli & Jacobs going out of the game with injuries. Jacobs sprained his knee, and no work on what the deal is with Eli's shoulder. As far as Jacobs being his #2, he did put up some okay numbers last night. I def. think he should look at the waiver wire though. LJ should put up great numbers, so all he really needs is a 2nd back that will put up ~10 points a game. Wanna take that back? He looked incredible last night, throwing for 4 TDs & rushing for another. Got me 40 Fantasy Points in the LGW fantasy league. Now, its not like the Giants defense is outstanding, but it isn't exactly horrible either.

Looks like I'm in the same drafting spot (Shaved Ice) as I was in the football draft. My team is pretty decent in that, so hopefully I yield a similar, if not better, team. GL all other GMs.

Lids-Kronner Lilja-Rafalski Chelios-Lebda Quincey We already have seven and itll be hard to send Quincey down. Markov offers some intangibles, but not enough to merit the money he is looking for.

Emery re-ups for 3 years, 9.5 million. Big raise from his 900Kish from last year... I thought I read elsewhere that he was lookin for 4ish a year. Still, a good deal for both sides IMO.

When a fight ends someones career, that is taking it too far. When we have professional hockey players training with professional BOXERS, that is taking it way too far. There is a line, and it has been crossed.

Use some common sense. Calder was #19 in Philly. Yahoo and every other publication just changed his team. Until he arrives in Detroit, he probably won't pick a new number.

Jason Blake, while I wouldn't mind of having him over Calder, probably won't be coming here since we traded for Calder, IMO.

I'd say Nathan Horton is a more likely possibility than Jokinen.

As was stated in the other thread, Mac was sent down cuz now, with a total of 4 healthy goalies ( Dom, Ozzie, Howard, Mac), one has to go down. It isn't even related. Hell, now im doubting myself; Was Mac our third stringer all year or was he called up when Ozzie went down? Or was that Howard? If it was Howard called up, then just ignore me.
