Glad to hear about Babcock. But McCarty out 2 more weeks?? There is no way he is going to be able to step in just before playoff time, or during playoff time, and be able to contribute. I wouldent want him to take a roster spot away from someone who has worked hard all season long to help this team be where they are now for the playoffs. I was all for Mac coming back and playing some during the regular season, to see what he can do, but I do not want him to steal a roster spot away from somebody when the playoffs start when he hasnt played for us all season long.

Thought this was funny, from a TSN article. At the bottom they list the career suspensions for Pronger, and one of them being: March 14, 2004 - With St. Louis, one regular-season game for kicking Calgary F Ville Nieminen. Seriously?? Kicking?? Was he throwing a temper tantrum?? This guy is such a loser.

Yeah but do you really think LA has scouting as good as Detroit's to be able to find players like that past the first round? Its possible, and thats a risk you have to take, but a we had to give up no one to get a pretty good player in return.

Agreed. All in all, how could this be bad?? We gave up a 2nd and a 4th for a guy who could be as good as our 3/4 d-man. How can anyone complain? Oh, thats right, because his name isn't Hossa. Get over it, it was a good move and it cant hurt us IMO.

Yeah that is true he is only 27. I'd say Cleary gets around the same, maybe not a 5 year deal but a 4 like you said.

My 2 cents... I think Hossa would be just a rental. Giving up Flip/Huds/top prospects for a rental player is never worth it IMO. Unless Hossa wants to sign a contract here... But I think he will be demanding way more than what we could afford. Or maybe we can afford it, but then we will have 0 dollars left over to fill out the roster.

Mmm damn. Could have been much worse. He should be more than ready to go come playoff time. Until then, we will just have to hold on and see how it goes. Since he has never been injured before... lol

Yea exactly. He was supposed to pit but apparently there was to much chatter over the radio and his crew chief didnt have time to tell him. Im also surprised that Stewart or Kyle didnt win. Kyle had the quickest car. The Joe Gibbs toyotas were very quick. They'll be right up there with Hendricks all year.

Yeah, somewhat lame. Only reason he won was because he got a major push from Kurt Busch. I was pullin for Jr but he had no help those last few laps, and he didnt have the quickest car. Oh well, should still be a good year for the Hendricks team and Jr.
