I would say if a penalty is taken in the last 2/4 minutes that the penalty should be allowed to fully expire even if the clock has run out. Example: You're down 1 with 45 seconds left and the opposing team gets a penalty. If you don't score within the 45 seconds the game clock would reset to the 1:15. In overtime (reg. season only) this would also apply. I think it would take away from clutching and grabbing and throwing people around (like game 6 vs Anaheim last year) in the final minute and allow for more scoring.

The average sports fan cannot name a single player on either Boston or Philly. Dumb decision by the league, Washington vs Boston or New York would have worked a lot better because it would have given a big market (NY or BOS) and a star player (Ovechkin).

This team is still the best in the league, you play an exhibition game against ANY team in this league, hell even any team in Europe and this team will win. You know the reffing was horrible on both sides....imagine if they called it by the book. This series would have been over in 5, max.

Crosby doesn't deserve s***.....plain and simple, his teammates carried him all the way ala Hossa if we would have won (aka, overcome all the bullcrap from the league clearly not wanting us to win)

You don't get our viewpoint...most of us here have seen the Cup be raised before. If it had been 16 or more years like it has been for you guys then I'd think the fans might be more inclined to stay because none of them have seen it happen before. I turned Game 5 of the World Series off in '06, Game 7 of the NBA Finals in '05 right after the final out/buzzer. Without a doubt I would do it tonight, and then I would ball my eyes out.
