Yeah, because the way he said that showed that he respects them He said they always play the same way, making reference to the playoffs. What he obviously didn't pay attention to, was that the Wings ARE playing differently already these playoffs, so his line of "they always play the same way" shows how much he actually paid attention to them so far.

I brought this very same thing up over on hfboards(on the Wings board) and of course a Sharks fan said I was making a big deal out of it. Go figure, eh? Anyway, I felt the same way as HC did with Billy boy being cocky, thinking that the Wings are playing the same way as they did last playoffs. Boy is he ever in for a rude awakening! That's alright though, let him keep thinking he knows everything about our team, and that they are going to play the same as they have in the past playoffs, I'll be laughing when it bites him in the ass.

I don't think anyone here is brushing off the Sharks as you put it, it's just ridiculous that their fans want to see them play the Wings, and pretty much the majority of them think it will be a 4 game sweep for the Sharkies, because Dom is old and the Wings are "soft". Sounds alot like what some Flames fans and even the Flames players themselves were saying before that series started, and look what happened. It annoys the hell out of me to see them all being so cocky about their team, and really the Sharks have done jack s*** in the playoffs, yet they all think the Wings will be an easy win. Let them keep talking their trash, and I hope they have to play Anaheim next, just so they get the hell beat out of them.

The refs weren't AS bad last night, but a few of those calls against the Wings should have never happened. Maybe against Dallas(hopefully) or San Jose, the calls won't be so bad against them. Of course I'd rather see Dallas win tonight, just because it seems the Wings are in Turco's head, and I'd love to see them take him out. Kinda OT here, but Sharks fans(alot of them) are already cocky. Saying the same BS that Calgary and their fans were, about the Wings being soft and it would be over in 4 games should they end up playing the Wings next round. Apparently as long as your name is Iginla, it's not an automatic suspension. I'm glad the league decided to do something about it, but Langkow and Iginla should both be out for the game tonight. McLennan doesn't dress, but so what? Would have been more of a message by the league had they made Iginla sit tonight out, and then even better should the Wings win. Of course, there would be too big an outcry from Calgary fans and their media should that have actually happened.

Unfortunately, I see more of this cheap shot BS from the Flames tomorrow night, and they figure their fans will all love it and cheer for it. Calgary certainly made Nashville look like angels, and that is just absolutely pathetic. I hope the Wings take their sorry asses out of the playoffs tomorrow night, hopefully with none of them being injured in the process.

Kiprusoff is worse with his whining than Roloson was last year in the playoffs. WAAAAH there's a Red Wing near me, give him a penalty ref. I'd love to see him actually get run over, just to see how he likes it then.
