Yeh, some people just ain't ever happy. I'll temper my comment with the fact, yes indeed, we usually beat up on the Blues. But they've been streaking lately, fighting for their lives and were up to the challenge last night. Well, they TRIED to be, I guess. Again, it is enteresting that the Blues were out there going hard and fast and taking aim at everything in red. There were elbows, high sticks and hard hits. Hockey most of us love. Yet the score speaks volumes, again. San Jose learned this last year. As did Calgary. And quite a few other teams likely talk about this as well. The Wings, as much as some in here try to claim, are NOT pushovers, and DO NOT back down. Those wanting to see two or three fights a game should get out and buy a couple of tickets to the A. Downey's a great guy, but the big club is built to win Cups. Not to give spots away in the lineup every night to guys who's sole purpose is to skate 5 minutes and instigate fights.

Great game. Sound in all areas. Pp, Pk and even strength. Osgood played well. And whether all the shots were tough or not, he looked very confident in net. I guess the naysayers will say it's the Blues and we always beat 'em. Oh well. It was also nice to see Ozzie state how the Wings weren't doing much of anything good earlier this year, yet we're in pretty good shape. LOL @ those who picked Downey over guys like Kopecky and Ericsson for player of the game. Hahaha. Some people just don't get it.

For the first time in a few seasons at least, I really don't care if Kenny makes a move or not. And i've been leading the way on bashing Kenny's non-moves for the last how many seasons?? This team has everything needed to make another run at the Cup. Health mixed with a Cup hangover is the reason I see this team not playing out of their minds EVERY NIGHT like some people expect. It's ridiculous. Statement games? I think we see how this team responds. Believe me, when Game #1 comes, and the puck is dropped, this team knows how to finish the job. There will be no letdown. I do find it amusing people talk about "what's wrong with the Red Wings?", when we've lost all of 14 games. But since there is a group of fans who think our team IS soft, gets pushed around, and boo hoo about Lilja losing his last fight, well then, i'll take Roberts over Neil. Those who applaud guys like Downey, who while part of our team, yes, I just couldn't care less seeing in the lineup. He brings nothing to justify sitting someone else out. But if he crushes a face or two, I guess it's soooooooo worth it. I realize Roberts salary is an issue, but aside from that, with this likely being his last kick at the can, boy oh boy would he be on a mission.

Must get Roberts. Who cares if the Sharks get Neil. *fixed*

Actually my original post was more of a vote for Roberts over Neil, if we need to get one of them. These boards have been very active with the notion that Chris Neil is so friggin' awesome. I find it hilarious, but chalk it up to some the RW fans insanity this time of year.

No suprise. We knew the Rangers were going to do this. But as far as I'm concerned, without names like Wayne, Mark or Jari, Glen Sather simply sucks. Avery's a chump who's taken advantage of all that he's been given. Counselling? Yeh, thats what he needs! Pul-leeze. Scotty Bowman had dude pegged back in Avery's rookie days here, didn't he? Here's hoping this blows up in Sather's face. And IT WILL!
