Gut check time. Every player accounted for. 1 win. Lilja goofed up, and Franzen seconds before him. But I can't bash either guy, they've showed up all playoffs for us. Win!

Your name says it all. Anyone who's watched this series would know the reason the Wings are down 3-2 today is because they've handed games away. The Duckies are just a shell of the team that beat Minnesota and Vancouver - I wonder why ...

*Matt please merge, never saw the other one.*

Yeh the article is cool. Who will today's hero be? And more good news: Kronner is back on skates practicing for a short time yesterday with the guys. -

No pretty pictures, though. -
Just to remind you, all season long, the talk from everyone was Buffalo and Anaheim playing for the Cup. So keep using your ifs, ands, buts ... If the Ducks don't win the Cup their season WILL BE A FAILURE. The difference with us? If our team fails to win it all, it's still damn better than what everyone picked us to do - maybe a 5th seed and a 1st round knockout. That was the talk from "pros". The Ducks losing in the 3rd round? FAILURE!! Now the fact you're carrying one of the biggest losers in hockey - a loss seems in the cards. One bit of good news is after the playoffs are done, you guys can go back to being Shark & King fans again.
-
Strange. You can't find anyone who likes McGuire - yet he keeps his job. There has never been a man born who loves the sound of his own voice more than him. And he makes you feel he's actually talking crap most times, the way he always talks like he's actually "in the know".
-
I like the "oh well, hack & slash me, i'm still going to the net ..." attitude. Just another reason why we love Homer!! I feel, like the WIngs, the incident is over, and although not forgotten we gotta move on. We have 2 games to win. Yes, Pronger's a good d-man, but who cares? He's always been a goof who uses his stick and dirty tricks to make up for his lack of speed. I mean how many people have pointed out guys like Dan & Pavel making him look stupid out there this series alone.
-
Zamboni wrote this??
-
Yeh, yknow I like Selanne, always like when he scores and does that goofy grin like a kid. I mean hey, i'm a hockey fan too. But WFIKC you're bang on there.
-
Why bother, but ...... just when the hell did the words "Pronger" and "had a good game against Detroit" ever belong in the same sentence? The puck's bouncing; Selanne ain't even got time to "think" about aiming - it was all close your eyes and pray to God.
-
-
4 goals, not counting the en. You might say one was a bad goal or the Duck player was a pretty good shot. Two of them were deflected - Dom had zero chance on. Another was a lucky swing on a goofy bouncing puck by Selanne. How much luck ya got left Duckies ?? ...
-
Arrogant or not, if we lose this series it's because of our own doing, not Anaheim's. They simply are NOT the team everyone told Detroit and it's fans to get ready for. Add a healthy blueline to the mix and a few less cheesy bounces - where the hell would Anaheim be now?
-
He's not the only one saying so, and while you may be correct in saying he's usually off base most times, he's correct this time.
-
Plus, as you said, Dom will NOT be embarrassed again in the next game. Lucky bounces are for homo's [or empty-netters]. Didn't I see a sig around here saying that from Al Iafrate? Go WINGS!!
-
Yeh they were talking about this during Game 1, I think. I just find it funny he looks like a futuristic robot out there, and yet their fans keep saying he's done nothing different than any other goalie. Uh-huh.
-
Giguere's equipment is legal as far as we've been told. But the thing is what JSG does now is add padding all around his chest equipment to hold up his shoulder pads for example. So legally yes - his equipment is measured correctly. But what's the point of that, if you add padding to increase height and width? he's such a great goalie he still needs to find ways to cheat the system.
-
Nah. Lines juggling worked game 3. A little too much juggling this game. Not sure how you see it another way, but Giguere wasn't unbeatable last night. How many pucks bounced around his net, and he had no idea where they were - he was lucky he didn't kick 3 or 4 in for goals. Plus they shrunk their bench to what, 3 defensemen and 88/9 forwars. Anaheim played a good game, likely the best they can. Win our home games, last night means squat.
-
Lucky bounces. What else can we say. I mean check Selanne's goal - he swings at a bouncing puck coming across the ice and it goes in! Whatever. Again i'll ask where the bad ass Ducks are everyone told us we'd be lucky to win a game or 2 against? There's no more secrets between these teams and we know [as if we didn't before] that that team is very beatable. They played what can only be described as stiffs the first 2 rounds [Luongo aside]. We've seen what is very likely the best they can throw at us, and the series is tied 2-2, when it easily could've been 3-1 today. Calm down. Geez. Home ice advantage is good for me. We need to do our job at home. And who says we may even need a game 7 - as if Anaheim is a lock to win game 6. Go WINGS!!
-
Yknow in your short time here, you sure irritate people quick. In no way shape or form, would most, well at least the Wing fans I know, ever support Kenny Holland if he came out with boneheaded comments after one of our guys took off another teams player. You're new around here, so you can take that with a grain of salt. But that type of s*** would NOT sit well with this organization, from Marion and Mike [our owners] on down ... Believe it! Burke is a piece of s***, and that comment has nothing to do with the fact we're playing Anaheim. He was just as big an ******* in Vancouver. I bet a few dollars he ain't well liked around the league either. You can just tell - he's one nasty sob. Supporting your guys has nothing to do with anything, when one of them cheapshots a guy and turns the focus away from winning the Stanley Cup. f*** Burke. f*** Pronger. This ain't new ground we're covering here.
-
Well said. I'm so very proud of the type of players our organization signs, trades or drafts for.

Well f*n said.
