Barely went it? To bash Dom, you're using some selective memory. Cheechoo's goal was a good goal, an even sweeter move. Dissect Dom's "snowangel" all you want, you are wrong. As GrindLine33 said perfectly -> this game isn't even close if not for Hasek. How do you make a s*** list and Dominik Hasek is the name at the top? Unbelievable.

You know we're talking about Mikael Samuelsson right? Good hands, solid shot or the word playmaker aren't on any scouting reports i've seen. I'm getting a vision ... him skating with the puck. It's shocking since Calder was full of fire when he came here at the deadline, but how the hell is this guy so invisible? Mind-boggling.

The only one's who complain about Dom's style are the people who don't know his game. How is that even possible if you're a Wing fan? Why the hell do we keep blaming him when we lose. Enough already. There's a reason he's one of the best goalies EVER, and why everyone who plays with him says there really is no equal. THIS THREAD SUCKS!

That's not saying much though.

It's more than 1 game. He looks invisible out there, gives up the shot way too much to pass and just looks lost. I was bashed for dissecting his game or what was left of it when he first came here, but now here we go .. difference maker he really is not. And I don't wanna start going back and forth on this because it does bother me that he doesn't seem to be able to find his game. I'm just wondering if this is it. And again - he's not the only one. Calder, Sammy, Lang ...

I'm starting to believe that Samuelsson really does have pictures of Babcock that are pretty embarrassing. There is simply no other explanation as to why he insists on playing Samuelsson as much as he does. I don't get the "love" he has for him. Other than that .. how about we wait until summer to dissect the job he's done. Plus it may have only been Lang, but when a coach calls out his players like Babcock will do - he gets bonus points from me.

I'd love to be proven wrong. I said it when we traded for him. He is not the same player he used to be. I'm not gonna sit here and get negative on the guy, our team is still very much alive and we don't need that s***. But he has been invisible, except for a decent game against Calgary when he got a few points. And then, what do I see last night? Of all the stupid boneheaded plays that got under my skin - I see him aiming for a guys head with his elbow, and he sure is lucky he didn't fully connect. THIS IS NOT WHAT I WANT TO SEE FROM ANYONE WEARING THE WINGED WHEEL. Boy, he really isn't a difference maker anymore is he?

Why the hell would Bertuzzi be the first to sit? There's a few others out there last night who should definitely be on Babcock's s*** list. First period - Detroit is game and ready to take a 2-1 series lead. Second & third periods - yet again this team falls back into their own zone and players miss their assignments. Screw the 2-1 series lead that is very much surmountable, but this team worries me since it seems they cannot string together a decent FULL friggin game. I don't know, maybe something is missing on this team - I can't put my finger on it, unless we dissect the PP. And btw, Babcock is kidding himself if he thinks Bertuzzi is doing ANYTHING to warrant more PP time. Get him out of there. I hope this is NOT the way we are going to bow out of the playoffs this year. 3 years, we can't score a damn goal ... now we miss golden opportunities handed to us. Both leave a bad taste in my mouth. If this is what we have to think about all summer .... dammit.

Exactly. What makes me laugh is everyone handing this series to San Jose; strange considering our team hasn't even showed up yet [until Game #2 mid-2nd on through to the final horn anyway]. Yet somehow I keep reading nonsense about how we suck, the Sharks haven't brought their 'A' game and we'll lose this in 6. Now I understand the past 3 playoffs we lost quick and all, but the absolute disrspect everyone is showing this team is a joke. I said it all season, and will say it again: this team, WHEN FOCUSED, can beat anyone. I think i'll stand by my prediction of Wings in 7 - it looks more likely our boys are gonna make things difficult on themselves. GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!

I know. With various other issues like hits to the head and all that, I cannot understand why the offices in NY are constantly wasting energy messing with the games' roots.

My 2 pennies: No 4 on 4 in OT. And sure as hell never, ever, ever have shootout's decide playoff games. It ain't broke, quit trying to fix it. I truly cannot get how guys like Shanahan, who did such a great job during the lockout to help get hockey back, can actually think either of those ideas above are good for the game. Quit trying to pull in fans who normally couldn't care less about the game. Why does the NHL consistently cater to them, when these gimmicks don't work. I could never stop watching hockey, but let teams less deserving win a Cup off a shootout goal one day and ... Bettman could give a f*ck about hockey's tradition - that much has long been apparent.

I simply cannot understand why the hell this team was not out guns blazing to start the period. The Sharks are not heads and shoulders above us. What a farce. Agreed. Part of the reason this forum is such a great one is because of the various fans of other teams who come and post here and share their love for their team.
