Not sure what game the thread starter was watching, but the one I watched had a Detroit shooting a ton of outside shots. Any goalie would've "looked" decent last night to a casual observer.

Seriously, who gives a F what anyone writes abotu us? We've been ousted 3 years in a row and each time our team has beaten themselves. Who really gives a s*** about what any writer are printing. We finished 2nd overall, yet everyone keeps telling us to fear ANA, SJ, NSH, VAN, BUF - damn near every team that made the playoffs. I only care about what goes on in our dressing room. If this team came to play for 60 minutes EVERY GAME, all those critics would be silenced at the end of June and licking our nuts. I see no team in front of us that we should fear. Not one. Gimme a break. What I CAN NOT stomach, what is simply INEXCUSABLE is losing to anyone because WE hand it to them. It's April - there are no excuses.

Can anyone tell me why Bertuzzi's sole job, written across the board in the dressing room is not "PLANT YOUR ASS IN FRONT OF NABOKOV AND DONT MOVE UNTIL THE FINAL WHISTLE"?? If there's anyone on our team that's huge and somewhat intimidating it's #44. Babcock?

Slice & dice this game, but saying this Sharks squad is too good to beat is laughable. If Detroit actually showed up last night - we'd be talking a different outcome. The playoffs are a tough grind phystically, emotionally and mentally. If the Wings wanna take games off, and not come to play, that's on them and they sure as hell won't be around when the Cup is raised. On the other hand, if our team plays the way we know they "can" - I like our chances alot. We'll soon see.

Sammy seems to no longer be the guy who fits on "any" line. Ugh! Babcock is confusing as hell - just sit his ass.

As far as I know CBC will not be showing this series. It's all TSN in Canada.

Homer will sit Game #1 at least with Huds taking his spot; not necessarily on the top line though. Also, it seems Lebda will not play tomorrow although he is walking around without crutches and hoped to skate today. Good news is Kronwall is getting close, but will likely not play until the Conference finals at the least.

Bettman thinks afternoon games are great, who cares if that includes playoff games. Does that sob ever even look at the ratings. Enough already. Start worrying more about the game's history and the games fans and give us proper, evening games.

Cleary & Franzen are the two who most come to mind when you review this series. Their determination, and heart, truly more to come from them this year. Filppula evens kills penalties in the playoffs, who knew?? Schneider & Nicklas were GODS on defense. The Pain Train was steady - who could've predicted that? And Mister Robert Lang is still lazy .. but certainly doesn't suck.

Yeh yeh. And Cleary and Franzen and ... just a true team effort when it mattered most. Now our guys can rest up and look ahead to next weekend's matchup with either San Jose or Dallas. 12 left to go!!!

We could also throw Primeau and Warrener into that group as well. One thing i'm sick of - and I LOVE PLAYOFF HOCKEY - is all this crease crashing that no-one speaks of when it happens to Dom. They allowed a goal by the Flames in Game #4 for christ sakes aftwer crashing Dom. Then Maltby gets tagged and knocked into Kipper last game and the goal doesn't count because of it. Either way, I love when the dirty stuff comes out, cause that usually means the other team is frustrated, dejected and starting to think we can't beat these guys. I was laughing my ass off yesterday once I saw Calgary resorting to the goon stuff. The got some great players on that team, and they choose to go down that road. Like it's gonna win them some games?

Miakel Samuelsson? Hey I like the dude as much as most fans, but that statement is hilarious. Sammuelsson hasn't done much, and i'd like to see Calder benched a game then brought back in - see if that fires him up. Samuelsson makes s***ty passes, is soft on the puck and continually shoots A) wide or B) into Kipper's chest. Cmon.

Agreed. He sees no difference between "star" players and "depth" guys. Not too long ago he was on Vinny big time to elevate his game and be a real leader on that team. Many thought it would cost him his job calling out big names like that. He fears no-one. Now just a few years later look at the player Vinny has become with a Cup ring to boot. He himself has said Johnny T has made him that much better a player. If only more coaches ran their team that way. He really does look like the Fonz.

As I read your post I became even more pissed off. Lidstrom, Chelly, Schneider, take your pick - even Markov ...why the hell is Samuelsson STILL at the point. You said it best - he can't even hold his position. Fed up isn't the word. It wasn't long ago we were #1 or #2 in the league in BOTH PP & PK. All the time. This is something I will never get use to. It might not be Scotty on the bench or Stevie, Shanahan or lazy ass Hull out there, but I WILL NEVER get use to seeing our special teams suck this bad, and for how much longer? Over to you Babcock ...

Might be wrong, but I believe we are now last on the PK. And a horrible 8% on the PP. Stop me if you heard this before, but Babcock is NOT making the changes he needs to. I'm assuming they work on special teams even more so now in practice, but you sure as hell can't tell. It's pathetic. Win this series - it's still going to be our downfall if Babcock does not adjust.
