It was nice to watch a complete game by both offense and defense last night. Galarraga looked phenomenal.

Was listening to Villenti (or however you spell his name) and Foster. Totally agree with Villenti that they should stick Stuckey at 2 and Rip at 3. Rip will get more than enough help with Pierce who is struggling. Tayshaun is nowhere to be found now.

I'll come in and defend my boy Hossa, and obviously I am a Wings fan first. I know your gung-ho about Flip but he won't ever be the player Hossa is. Ever. You can throw any team, any player or anybody you want at the Wings right now and they simply aren't going to score. It does not matter who it is. If Hossa is playing on the Wings he has at least 5 more points (already 10 more than Flip) than what he has. I love Flip as much as the next guy but to sit there and insinuate that he is or will be a better hockey player than Hossa is just being a homer. Will Flip be a solid hockey player? No doubt. But please, he's not going to be putting up numbers like Hossa's anytime soon. Nor will he ever be as physical.

So the numerous 2-1 saves, breakaway saves, point blank saves, etc were not gamesavers for Osgood and the team? A playoff game is ultimately decided by the goaltender. Osgood's numbers are simply too good.

If Sammy scores 2 goals in succession again I will streak around Joe Louis before a game. I have a perfect out in where I could simply say I am a bum and have no clothes. Then ask the nice police officer for some change so I can get some undies.

Yet faces just as many scoring chances

The team isn't where they are today if Osgood never replaces Hasek. No doubt it should go to Osgood. Hank's performance has been stellar so far. But it's pretty special for a goalie to be putting up the numbers Osgood is, and it's not because of the team. Being a goalie is an enormous amount of pressure. Being a goalie for the Detroit Red Wings and the fans of the team puts even more on the goalie.

O'Hallaran - Default call is 'interference'?
dallas27 replied to SouthernWingsFan's topic in General
Yes, in fact it did. That is one picture from the whole play. I can find a picture from every goal taken back and declare that it wasn't interference just based on that picture. -

Homer interefered with Fleury while Fleury was in his crease and coming out to make a save. There really isn't much to argue. This call did not have any affect on the outcome of the game. So I don't know why people have to be homer's (no pun intended) about it. This also is not going to go away. He will continue getting reputation calls all series long. Better learn to grin and bear it while you can people. -

That was after Homer took a whack at Fleury's pads. It was most likely incindental no doubt, it's not like homer made a conscience decision to. Regardless, it's still interference. Eva is right people. -
After a beatdown of the Twins look for the Tigers to give no run support to Verlander today

This team goes how Chauncey goes...

Someone asked me what I do to work out. I said drink beer. My manager said he isn't lying. We lol'd. Then I said I play hockey and checked the guy. And lol'd some more. That's a lie. I took my blocker to the back of his head Turco style.

The mayor would be trading for strippers for a party at the Manoogian Mansion. Not sandwiches and beer.

Lacing up the skates is like riding a bike, if you are a hockey player yourself, I believe you'd agree. Two weeks is nothing. He'll fall right back into place.

I meant 3-1 Pens with an empty net goal. I was probably typing fast at work so big brother didn't catch me.

See that? Sorry LGW but there will be no drinking or talking about Gatorade during the finals. In no way, shape or form are we to support or endorse Crosby. You must drink Powerade to get your electrolytes on.

Finding a bar that has a good, clean line for Bass is next to impossible here. The best Bass I've ever had was from my buddy's restaurant Mosaic's in Greektown. I know their lines are clean. Bass is tremondously good beer when you can find it on a good line and tap. I'm strictly ales; Newcastle, Bell's (Blue Moon is a Bell's winter white ale rip off), Bass. No lager please, unless it's Imperials Lion lager. I'll only drink american stuff if it's free or I have to at a bar. I have no problem spending 9-10 bucks on a six pack of quality beer that I can sit and enjoy.

It's not bad at all. Sam Adams is pretty much at the same price point as Bell's so I find it silly to get Sam Adams when you can get some of the best stuff around in Bell's for a buck or two more. Trust me, and my co-worker/friend who is German and brews his own beer, put an orange slice in Oberon. You're missing out if you don't. Get a good hamburger too. That's a meal.

The Penguins fans and every other media outlet fail to realize this. Fleury hasn't seen anything like the Wings offense. Combine that with his youth and inexperience and I'd bet you can see Fleury taking some penalties. It's refreshing to see an article that isn't a Penguin love fest.

Don't look now but Bucigross said Pens in six

Yep. Any commercialized, mass-produced American beer is an absolute disgrace, not to mention it's urine or water (Coor's light, that code blue actually stands for it's the right temperature for water). Now if you get into all the micro-brewries e.g. Bells, Goose Island, Dragonmead, etc. that's where it's at. It's expensive, but not only do you get wonderful tasting beer, you actually get more alcohol content out of it too. Bell's best brown ale and pale ale are amazing. And it's hard to beat an Oberon with a slice of orange in it. Talk about good beer. Anyways, I took a sledge hammer to a bunch of gatorade. F you Crosby.
