What's funny is that everyone dismisses it even though their own opinion about it contains no more or less truth to it, especially when you claim he will be back for game 1. Because truth be told I've heard the same thing. Unless anyone here is physically with Franzen and the doctors it's only speculation to as what is actually wrong with him and if there is a timeline for when he will be back.

Crosby and co. may be better offensive players (and in the "new" NHL that is what it's all about) but I feel it would be hard pressed to say that they are better complete hockey players than Datsyuk and Hank.

Crosby and Malkin aren't the complete hockey players Datsyuk and Zetterberg are, e.g. the Selke nominations, that's my opinion though so take it as it is. Crosby and Malkin will not be skating circles around them as the media and everyone is making them out to do. Hossa however, well I have a man-crush on Hossa so he's in a league of his own, and still should be on the Wings. How many points does Hossa have all you "Hossa doesn't perform in the playoff" people?

Not game 7 at the Joe. The Wings, having a couple recent Stanley Cup trips, I think would know how to close the deal at HOME on a GAME 7 during the Stanley Cup Finals. The Penguins, already being a young team and having no cup experience, one could assume would most likely fold. But discount that and play the middleman, it's very admirable.

Having played hockey (goalie) for 18 years and gone through many-a handshakes, I can say that even if Turco said "not bad for a back-up" he meant it as a compliment. And in all fairness, Turco is absolutely right, Osgood was the back-up from game 1 of the regular season up until game 4 of the Nashville series.

Even if he says yes, I would beg to differ. It's easy to look at the boxscore stats and come to the conclusion he has. But if one were to watch the game I'm quite sure that conclusion would be different.

I'd personally like to see Helm play with Draper. Imagine the amount of energy and hustle those two would put on the ice together.
