Jacque Jones is cut from the team, he never really impressed me. Although you can't blame him for last game but he completely played the hit that won the game for the Twins wrong. Sheff is at left. I would rather have Thames at left.

Totally agree. Goalie myself and I have played on a few teams where I had similiar situations. Takes a lot of mental toughness to stay focused and in the game when you are seeing a shot every 3-4 minutes. Osgood has made many point blank one timer saves in the slot, especially last series, that were amazing given the above situation.

Like Mickey says; Hasek or Osgood does not have to be the star of this team. Just get the job done. Osgood has been as solid as ever and has made some real, real nice saves.

Not at all, hockey is a game where you HAVE to kick a team when they are down. Run up the score as high as you can. You let up and play defensive bad things can happen. Once I saw him in the paper I thought how last night's game could not have hurt the Wings chances in the sweepstakes.

Even with A-Rod out it's still nice to see the Tigers smack down the Yankees. And I would have never dreamed about Polanco getting TWO, TWO jacks in one game. Thank God for that 318ft left field fence.

Jimmy Howard needs to be backing up/splitting time with Osgood next season, I don't see how it's an option to let him sit in GR another year. Howard is the future of this team and there is no reason to pay Hasek big money to maybe play half the games with his health and reflexes deteriorating. Hasek was an amazing goalie but it's time to let him go. Osgood has proven that he is still more than capable of handling the load. Feds and Hossa please.

Good article, movement is the main reason why Osgood made that game-saving save with 8 seconds to go, he could not have done a better job anticipating that shot and getting over.
