Sammy actually hit the net on SEVERAL occasions. That alone is MVP material in my book.
-
You realize you just contradicted yourself here, right?
-
If I fined Bettman for everytime he is a d-bag I would be a rich man.
-
What do you mean what? Are you trying to play innocent now? I mean, since you have always been adamant you want what is best for the team attitude, I feel you would be able to let the Hasek thing go, obviously it's not the case. Sorry, but you can't put your bulls*** past me. But you are right, it's exactly what I wanted, YET you don't hear me going on and on about it, unlike yourself and your CONSTANT, CONSTANT parade of "it's Ozzie's team now" and "you don't have to see Hasek anymore" s*** which is getting really, really old really fast. But I have also said that I don't care who does start, but, being yourself you ingore that. But, please, go ahead and put up the facade of I support Osgood, I'm actually quite interested in your stance on goaltenders next year. I can't wait.
-
For someone who says they don't care who is in net you seem to mention Hasek not playing in Detroit ever again quite a bit. LET IT GO.
-
So you can blame my mother for going into overtime. I did not remove myself from the tv until she came home and told me to go get her a coke from the basement. I did. They scored. I yelled at her. Told her it was her fault. Then the Wings won and we screamed our asses off. I'm still making her feel bad for sending it into ot in the first place though.
-
Anyone else hear Osgood's post game interview. Pure class.
-
Because during the course of the playoffs you expect your goalie, especially one like Hasek, to steal you a couple games.
-
Simple answer. ANY, ANY goalie in the NHL that has a clear view of a slap shot from anywhere near the blue line has no excuse not to stop it. You know the slap shot is coming so you have more than enough time to get set, square and ready for it so there really isn't an excuse for a shot that long when there is no obstruction of view to go in. And it just doesn't apply to Hasek. Need I remind people that Osgood was at blame for this a while back as well, which actually was a focus point of discussion about him until he caught fire this season. Now you don't even hear about it. You are spot on about challenging, especially with a shot from that far away. The more you move out the less net there is to shoot at. On the long goals, if I remember correctly, he actually was challenging a little bit which was surprising. They just beat him in between the five hole, a few of them hit his stick and just kept going which is worse. Hold that stick. Osgood is more of a traditional butterfly goaltender and cuts down his angles really well when compared to Hasek which is why you really don't see as many deflection goals on him, he takes up more net. Jimmy Howard is even better at it.

We get to see some octopus fly tomorrow thus there is no possible way the Wings can lose.
-
Good to hear. Although not all Hasek's fault, he failed to make quite a few saves during timely situations and it killed any momentum the Wings had. Everyone said it was Hasek's to lose and he lost it. That being said though, I hope Osgood can take them ultimately all the way so Hasek can get his name on one more cup and retire on top and as one of the best to ever play, the latter is a given obviously.
-
Not at all, he's just not playing nearly as bad as people are making it out to be, chief
-
You don't find it just a tad ridiculous? I can find a million other things to ***** about how they have been playing before I get to Z's performance.
-
Ahhh, yes. Trashing arguably the best complete hockey player in the world. I can't say I'm not surprised to see this here.
-
It obviously isn't a motivational speech untill...
-
Not my section when I am there. But I am the drunk that makes everyone high five me. You know you want to.
-
And Feds. Hossa and Feds. Mmmmmmmm.
-
If he gets Hossa in the off-season I could care less.
-
Yea. I really wish I was making it up but I'm not. In fact I did not go to ONE game last year hoping I could shake it. Nah. Got free tickets to three games this year, I can't turn them down, it's free. Nothing. All losses. Needless to say I can't go to another game...again. I also went to go pay my school bill the other day. The moment I walked in they had a fire drill. I had to work in 30 minutes. I was 20 minutes away. I have AMAZING luck.
-
Like me and the Tigers. Currently on a 16 game losing streak at copa. Funny how the bastards win when you aren't around. I was the one game they lost two years ago when they went on a 18ish game tear.
-
No, no, no, no, no, see YOU think every goal is blamed on Dom. Truth is there are quite a few goals ''the dominator'' should have had. And it ultimately cost them two games. Keep in mind this is ''the dominator'' that all the Hasek lovers praise about his past and how he has stolen series after series by himself
-
I didnt but, he's Hasek, so he will get the nod.
-
He won't. I respect ya Pack but you have to admit Hasek has cost the Wings the last two games. He is supposed to steal games, and he has not come remotely close
-
Yes, because goals from the blue line that are not tipped that go through the five hole that cost them the game that are scored on ''the dominator'' 11 seconds after they pull it to within one is acceptable.
-
Yea, but he thought that's what's was best for the team. I still think Hasek will be starting next game, even though he shouldn't, and I hope he turns it around.
