No doubt he is better defensively than most 3rd basemen out there but I would have given up some of that up for someone that can hit the ball. Inge has said he realizes it's a business and there is no loyalty in baseball, so I don't see how he can then go ***** and moan about it. Inge can play anywhere and can be extremely useful for the Tigers if he would stop crying like the 16 year olds on that one MTV show that get the Ferrari and not the Lamborghini they wanted. *edit* He even had his wife go on air and tell everyone the same deal Inge is. Don't blame Giguere. He's just taking advantage of the situation. He is doing absolutely nothing wrong. Legace wearing 38'' inch pads is a little out of hand. Take it for what it's worth but my pads are about 5 years old, I've grown about 4-5 inches (5'4'' to roughly 5'9'' without skates, thank god I am a really late bloomer so I attained almost average height) and they are 34's (I think). They are too small now.

Last night probably should have been a 2 minute penalty and it may only rarely happen when they score but when they do there are going to be countless "stay in your goddamn net Hasek" posts unlike in this thread, people will not be NEARLY as receptive and light-hearted. That's not saying I don't think it's highly entertaining when he just bull rushes someone when they are on a breakaway, I just don't want to see him do it in the playoffs when there is a little more on the line. Everyone realizes that if this happens to Buffalo everyone on the board is cheering that the Wings scored, right? The refs may have botched it but that is no reason to say it is their fault and it is certaintly no reason to stop following the play. The Wings players are at fault.

Plays like Lilja's is what makes hockey the best game ever. What other sport do you voluntarily slide in front of an object that can move in excess of 100 mph just to try and save a goal / point?
