I can't see anyone else feeding the puck to Hossa on the wing. I also don't see Homer being able to keep up with Hossa and Dats, that would be one quick and shifty line. In my perfect world we somehow get Feds as well, Feds / Dats / Hossa. I think that line would be producing a lot of goals and points.

A common theme among the Red Wings and ESPECIALLY this board is loyalty. Sundin has played for one team, where in a city he is for all intensive purposes a god, what makes you think he would not be bolting back to Toronto?

And I don't know how many times we've been through this too. Daystuk did AMAZING up until last year in the playoffs too (/sarcasm) You pay Hossa that much because he is a) a franchise player b) has an unbelievable amount of talent and c) will net AT LEAST 40+ goals for the next 4-5 seasons in Detroit's system. It is literally a no-brainer if Holland can pull this off, why people are so god damn obtuse to see this is beyond me.

I honestly have no idea how people can not get through their thick skulls that signing Hossa long-term can be realistic, doable and not be a pain in the ass after Eva and YoungGuns crunched numbers. Sundin makes absolutely NO SENSE when you can get Hossa and get him signed long-term. NONE.

Ok bud. I'm sorry but your an idiot if you want Flip over Hossa. Flip will be nowhere near the player Hossa is. And as I said, and a bunch of other people, money wise it IS doable.

I know, having franchise players long-term makes zero sense. I'm sorry but a lot of people are being homers here about Flip. This is Marian freaking Hossa we are talking about. We don't even know if Cleary is going to be here but even if he is he said he is willing to take a discount for the best of the team. Someone crunched numbers for us in this thread, forgot which page, but it is doable.

Sorta feel this should be addressed after the trade deadline. Although it's an obvious concern that the Wings need to re-sign their own, there are a lot of names being thrown around right now.

Yea, I got too carried away. I said earlier that it could be true, he's in the same age bracket as you and me, it's not too far conceived that he may have a facebook profile. Although I did also say it's probably fake. Who know's though. And I've said I hope it's true, Hossa on this team would be insane (Sundin would be good too for all the Sundin lovers out there). You actually have a freaking awesome point. If it were me I would leave it up just to f*ck with people.
