I don't see how it was hijacked when criticism about Hasek's performance last game was fine, I didn't see the game though. But coming in this thread and ripping on Osgood when there was nothing he could do on the goals is childish and just stupid. Stay on the topic at hand: the refs GAVE the Ducks a goal and they took one away from the Wings.

Funny how you aren't anywhere to be seen earlier in the season and all of a sudden you emerge when Hasek finally pulls it together and then start bashing Osgood. Vintage Gowingsgo. Question: If Hasek does the same thing do you yell at him to be pulled? Probably not. Osgood had no chance on those two goals, Hasek would not have stopped them either. The backhand goal he should have had though. That was pretty weak. Last night's game cemented as Hasek as the starter in the playoffs as well as the game on Sunday. He'll play back to back Saturday and Sunday. *edit* It's actually quite funny to see a lot of people come out of the woodwork

His intentions may have been to poke check the puck but he didn't, it's clear as day that his legs take out Gaborik before his stick ever gets there, his stick actually never even comes close to the puck. Anways, onto the best celebration ever: I remember on NHL 04 or somewhere around there where you could do a celebration where you use your stick as a bow and shoot an arrow at the goalie. Yep. Two things I used to love going to the games for: The jig and hoping that someone was going to fight. Gotta agree with what you said though, sucks in a way that they changed that. But they are winning hockey games, a lot of them, so it's hard for anything negative to come out of that.

He has pansified hockey. I'll take a fight over a shoot-out anyday. Nothing can get the crowd on their feet faster than Downie beating the crap out of someone because they messed with Z, Dats, Lids, etc. You mess with a star player you have to own up to it, no exceptions.

Yeaaaaa. But it ultimately comes down to the goalie to make the save, nobody imo can be more clutch than that in hockey. I won't argue with Hasek defining clutch, well maybe Mags But that is a different sport so I digress. Cleary has a knack of finding the back of the net when they need it, I like to believe it's him being rewarded for all his hard work in the game and in practice.
