    Babcock pushes Lidstrom for Hart

Pick the odd man out: Bobby Orr, Chris Pronger, Nicklas Lidstrom Clearly it's Pronger, yet the first two are the only ones that have won the Hart and Norris.

    Will Hasek Return?

If he does he has to make sure he is fully committed to retiring, I don't think the Wings need to be caught up in a un-retirement circle. I agree with Harold. If Howard is the future of the team him playing in the GRap next year will do him no good. I think Hasek wants to go out on top (an obvious understatement) so hopefully this year it happens and he can retire with another Cup.

Good game. I especially enjoyed the walleye and venison my uncle made and the white chicken chili (i think that what my aunt said it was) and italian sausage my aunt made. And obviously the beer.

I love it when people try to help people when they have no idea what they are talking about. Granted I work at Golfsmith so it's sorta inevitable but... The best thing was the guy he was talking to goes "how did you know what I was going to say" and the guy replies "because I am psyhcedelic" I wanted to laugh in his face. I also love it when they try to brag like they are the greatest thing since sliced bread...I think it should be a pre-requsite to golf with me and my friend that works with me if you want to brag.

Vancouver isn't in the hunt for the playoffs if they don't have someone named Luongo.

Why Osgood can't start in the playoffs

Did your brain just block out the fact that I said it isn't all luck? But there IS an aspect of luck involved WHEN he is flopping around. Whether you accept it or not, and you won't, mostly because you are ignorant. Of course he knows what he is doing (thinking about it though... I am making an arguement with myself that even he doesn't know what he is doing and he just goes out there and does it), I thought classifying Hasek's style as his own and that you can not teach it would be sufficient enough, I guess not. Only in YOUR eyes is it truly amazing he ever makes a save. In YOUR eyes it's Hasek vs The World. Everyone is out to get him. But alas, the man is one of the best, so what if he gets lucky, the puck stays out of the net. That's all that matters. As for the lacing them up thing. I've laced them up with Petr Sykora, who happens to have quite a good shot, he thought he could go top shelf on me, he was mistaken.

Why Osgood can't start in the playoffs

His whole game isn't luck. When he starts flopping on the ice like a fish and at the last minute throws his leg out to make the save luck is involved. He's in no position to stop that puck. I mean, I wouldn't know, or the goalie coach I had for 15 years wouldn't know either. When he is saving 2-3 shots in a row purely by throwing his body around WHEN HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHERE THE PUCK IS how is luck not involved? I wouldn't even classify his style as unconventional, he has his own style. It's the Hasek style. Like I said, nobody is ever going to be able to do what he does. And by no means do I mean that in a bad way, he's clearly one of the best to play the game.

That looked a lot longer than 7-10 days. His shoulder and arm pretty much collapsed after the boards took it out.

Why Osgood can't start in the playoffs

Luck plays a huge part when Dom starts throwing whatever he can around when he is scrambling to make another save. That's his method to his madness. Nobody else will ever be able to do what Dom does, you can't teach it. What's that saying though, "would rather be lucky than good." Obviously Hasek is both but you get the point.

Why Osgood can't start in the playoffs

And then I would just give you this link, http://www.nhl.com/nhlstats/app. If we are talking consistency then how do you NOT go with Osgood, he has been nothing but the whole season. At this point I'm sure all Hasek wants is another cup, he has everything else, so he could probably put his ego aside and it could work out. Although I don't think it would be the best option. That's exactly why I say it, I wouldn't say it otherwise. He will be going into the hall of fame once he retires.

Why Osgood can't start in the playoffs

And you wonder why I say the only reason Hasek will be starting come playoff time is because of the name on the back of his jersey. Before people jump on me, yes, Hasek has been playing MUCH better, it was only a matter of time, but Osgood has been better the whole season. But... this thread is just the same ol' song and dance.

Detroit looking to reward Babcock with long-term deal

Good news. Especially considering he brought the young guys up playing his system and this would let them play keep playing it for quite some time.
