Hasek hasn't shown that he is the difference maker he is (or, depending, used to be) thus far this season. Scares me a little. But he has some time to prove it. Ozzie, on the other hand, has shown it quite a bit. I hope the brass would see that.

Anytime you drop that MUCH weight they would may be considered for use of steroids. Well previous use.

I'm not so sure that I buy that. The Wings were just about as dominant then as they are now. Besides Chicago the Wings have had very little difficulty with any team. Whenever Hasek is playing bad it seems like there are endless excuses for him. He had a very tough start and people would be silly to expect him to play that bad for the whole season. But it is possible for Hasek or any goaltender to simply play bad. One's like Hasek are bound to turn it around at some point. In any case, I hope they get this deal done. I think it makes a difference in terms of performance when someone genuinely wants to play and end his career for any team

I think a professional athletes salary MAY be a little different. Just like your brainwashed about Hasek despite his stats? So how do you explain Hasek's stats? He's had the same team in front of him.

Out of the 50 or however he faced in all three games maybe 10 were quality saves. And I think that is generous. I mean it's great that he is playing better than he has, don't get me wrong, but he hasn't been challenged nor had to be relied upon to save a game. These past three games have been excellent stepping stones for him but to say he was a star of the week or he is "back to his old form" is going a little too far right now imo.
