I certainly hope you aren't questioning the players sexuality when they give their teammates a big bear hug when they score. I'm not quite sure I would want Lilya running after me lol.
-
I was best friends with Justin Trumble untill we both moved away when we were 12-13.
-
Has anyone seen the poll at tsn.ca asking since Nied. is returning to the Ducks are they the favorite to win the Western Conference. I lol'd for quite some time
-
Know what brings me out of my seat. Beer. Well besides that. A FIGHT. Hasek so should have let the goal in and dropped his gloves.
-
I don't hate Hasek. I just think he was a dumbass for doing it. And yes, I would have rather seen Gaborik do that. Why? Because there is no chance of Hasek getting injured. That's why. But that makes too much sense. Too much common sense. I remember, way back when, when there was a thread for quotes. And Matt posted one that said "if common sense was common everyone would have it" I almost feel Mickey is like the John Madden of the NHL except not as John Madden I guess lol
-
So you like the fact that he said 9 times out of 10 Hasek is the one that gets hurt.
-
You said anyone with their head down is fair game. Someone controlling the puck, whatever the situation is, with their head down is fair game. So Hasek would be able to skate at them and "challenge" them whether it be a 3-0, 3-2, 2-1 or whatever. I'm just really done. That's awesome that everyone thinks this was great. I see it as a chance to lose a hall of famer. I guess I am in the wrong for this.
-
He doesn't have anything to prove at this point and he doesn't have to achieve anything. Well. OTHER THAN WINNING ANOTHER STANLEY CUP. And what he did risked that. I really wish he would have gotten hurt. Just so the fact that everyone here would realize how stupid this play was.
-
I miss you in the other thread. You know the one where I am arguing that it was stupid of Dom to do this and risk his health. Yea. That one.
-
I am a goalie. And he wasn't playing for the win. HE ALREADY HAD THE WIN. What achievement does he have to play for now? The fact that he is going to the hall of fame? Please tell me. It doesn't matter if he wasn't hurt or if he was. It's the fact that he put himself into a position to do so.
-
Be sure to send Hasek an e-mail stating that next time there is a 2-1 or someone with their head down to just start skating at them. And when Hasek takes the body and lets in a goal he can blame it on the fact that he had his head down and he was trying to take the body.
-
Loo. I know you have to agree with me that even though Hasek is unconventional this was the dumbest thing he could have done with a 5-0 lead. Like. Is the game on the line? No. So don't be a jackass and try to make some stupid play that endangers your career.
-
I would rather have a goal scored on Hasek than him risk his whole season. I guess I am a dumbass for thinking so. Sorry. It's so easy to see who has played hockey and who hasn't. It's really unbelievable. For the average fan this was an awesome play. For someone who has played hockey. This was beyond dumb.
-
Apparently I was watching a different game because I saw Gaborik with control of the puck.
-
Trying to talk with Hasek lovers is like...I don't even know. I can't come up with an analogy.
-
Thanks. Because that was the dumbest move Hasek could have done. Hey. My health for the past few years has been a question mark. I have an idea. It's the best one yet. There are minutes to go in the period. We have a 5-0 lead. Let's rush Marion Gaborik, who has full control of the puck, and throw my body at him. THIS CAN'T MISS. You don't see the stupidity in this?
-
According to Booster...Hasek was just challenging...get your facts straight
-
I just don't get how you can justify what Hasek did was, I guess, justifiable. Especially with the Hasek blinders you have on. I would figure you would not have condoned what he did. I mean. I know with minutes to go and a 5-0 lead that was the best play he had....
-
The NHL goalie has nothing to do with a conversation between you and me. You tried claiming he "challenged" and I simply proved you wrong. Going by your logic NHL goalie > me > you. I win.
-
How you guys can applaud what Hasek did is beyond me. I really wish he would have gotten hurt now. With a few minutes left and leading 5-0 it probably was the smartest play in the book. Jackasses. Yea. Let's skate out as fast as we can and slam into another player potentially putting the career on the line. Fukin' brilliant.
-
He didn't make any clutch saves. And it was dirty. Goalies have not done it a million times before, not when THE PLAYER HAS FULL CONTROL OF THE PUCK AT THE BLUE LINE. THAT IS NOT CHALLENGING. Question: Have you played any junior hockey as a goalie? I have. That is not challenging. Challenging is going up to the hash marks and backing in as fast as the forward is going. Not bull-rushing a forward and throwing your body at him. Not to mention a defenseman is a stride away from catching up.
-
Two things. Firstly: Dom made the saves he should make. Especially considering the high regards everyone has for him. Secondly: That was beyond dumb for him to do. Not only was he risking his old body an injury he could not recover form it was honestly a dirty play. Hasek just wanted to put his body on him, Gaborik had full control of the puck at the blue line. I could see if it's a race for the puck but not that. Why risk it with minutes to go at the end of the game. But Hasek isn't exactly the brightest crayon in the box.
-
I don't even think you need the paper. Pudge, although his offensive output has slowed down a ton, is now the worst hitter. They are going to approach 1000+ runs this year.

Tom Brady is the man. Plus he went to U of M

I was joking...
