Why Do Americans Stink at Team Sports?

I'm pretty much an ignorant a-hole when it comes to this and believe that America should destroy everybody in every sport. In terms of the four major sports (including hockey even though it is not) the problem is they take too many individuals and only give them a few months to try to make it work.

The Miami Heat further proving that they did not beat the Pistons, the Pistons beat the Pistons.

ugh, leaving people on base is really killing them right now. on the bright side we can say that these tigers can play with anyone, they could be well above .500 against the yanks, sox and the chisox with a few good breaks and key hits.

    Detroit Pistons off-season thread

From my blog on myspace that I just did: Now this may be the bitterness and hatred talking right now but the way I saw my Pistons play and advocating them all damn season to everyone I know that nobody can beat them in a 7 game series and all that crap BUT: Minnesota Timberwolves recieve: Rasheed Wallace - Forward Kelvin Cato - Center Future 1st or 2nd round draft pick Detroit Pistons recieve: Kevin Garnett Ronald Dupree (him coming back would be HUGE off the bench) I want Flip out but with KG coming to town (Flip was KG's coach for, what, 9 seasons) it wouldn't be to smart. But with LB most likely getting the boot out of New York it may be time to bring him back. It may be a hard pill to swallow Mr. Davidson and Mr. Dumars but something about the coaching must be done. Ultimately effort comes down to the coach, the coach has to shove his foot up their ass if they are not putting forth 110%. Everyone knows that Flip is a "players coach" meaning that he is not one for confrontations. The best teachers and coaches I've had always made me do something I DIDN'T want to do, but doing so makes you better and more likely to succeed. Heart says you gotta re-sign Ben. Doesn't matter that he is an offensive liability, he is far too great of a defender to let go. Other than that you can't do much...

Would rather see sheed go. I would really hate to see him or any of the starting five go but he was nowhere to be found this series. He had what maybe 10 points the whole miami series. But if you can get a player like kg in the offseason who already knows most if not all of the offensive sets you have to pull the trigger. He may not be as good as a defender as sheed but kg is going to show up every night.

See the pistons thought that the nba changed the rules to where if you don't make baskets you win. If that was the case we would have clinched the title a month ago!

I do, it's called the power of observation. Before he was juicing he was at maybe 170 and that is being generous. And within seconds he is 210 ALL muscle. Please. It takes years to obtain that much muscle. It doesn't happen overnight. Tigers lose 4 straight and are still .5 games up overall and 1.5 on the chi-sox. Time to get back on track.

And for the record it doesn't matter that Shaq and Wade are healthy. Wade WAS healthly last year with the exception of the last game so don't throw that s*** out there. If he is so damn good he should have eliminated the Pistons before 7 games last year. The Pistons beat themselves, bottom line. Not Wade or Shaq...

Miami is playing some good ball no doubt. But to say that is the reason why they are winning would be silly. Seems as if Detroit just doesn't even care anymore. Not making the extra pass, not rebounding, not making free throws, not hustling, standing around on offense AND defense...they are just going through the motions. Maybe on purpose to get Flip out of here? Sounds far fetched but the DIFFERENCE between the way they ARE playing and they way they SHOULD be playing is too big of a gap. I don't know what the hell Cleveland puts in their water but it sure as hell got Detroit in a big ass funk that they probably aren't going to come out of. Officiating is horrible but the Pistons don't deserve to win anything the way they are playing...

Is it hard to believe that Barry Bonds took steriods? You don't gain that much muscle that fast just working out. How much muscle did he put on? Probably 30 pounds worth?

Doesn't matter if he did or did not know that he used a steroid, only thing that does is that he did.

Good win yesterday, Stairs homer only made it interesting as after the 5th inning or so they were never in it. That was a hideous swing by Stairs as well...

/sigh Jumping on bandwaggons is never good. Don't say you aren't because you've been quiet the whole season as Detroit PLOWED through everyone in the regular season, and the FIRST ROUND, and the SECOND ROUND untill Cleveland won a few games. And since Detroit hasn't been playing the best ball you figured it was the perfect time to jump on them. And that is the thing, Detroit has been playing like s*** and they still could have won that game yesterday. Just like they had a chance to win game 5, or was it 6, when the Pistons minus Rip shot 12-50 (which was a lose by two points). If Phoenix gets Dallas running they have a good chance against Dallas.

Detroit Pistons (& NBA) Playoff Thread

ROFL. Figures you would wait untill something like this happened to jump on the Pistons. Sucks that your Spurs are about to get eliminated. It's so funny how everyone quickly jumps on the Pistons after they fall asleep for two games, this is no different from what they did last year. Besides Rip the Pistons shot 14-50 in game 4 AND ONLY LOST BY TWO POINTS. The Cavs are not beating the Pistons. Turnovers and a cold hand are beating the Pistons. Let's see where you are at when the Pistons win the championship... As long as Detroit has home court advantage nobody can beat them in a 7 game series. Detroit doesn't have to lift it's game. They have to stop getting bored out there resulting in stupid turnovers and settling for shots which happened the last two games. Over the past 2-3 years we have witnessed the Pistons getting bored after whooping on the opposition for the first two series and especially the first two games. This isn't anything new...just like everyone stating that the Pistons now longer have a chance because they threw away two games and the Heat this and the Heat that. The Pistons beat the Heat with ease this regular season and the only reason why they lost the one game is because of a fourth quarter snooze.
