Yea, and IF the Pistons didn't play like a bunch of jack asses in the last game the Spurs wouldn't have won last year and the Pistons win back to back championships. FYI: Nobody, not even the Spurs, would have stopped the Pistons two years ago. Stop riding your high horse and realize that the Pistons played FLAWLESS that championship....if that's possible....

Someone on another site posted that KJ and Roy are in the doghouse, for being lazy, or something like that. How in the *** can KJ be in the doghouse?!?!? He's barely played this year e.g. his 8 carries!!!! Lazy!!?!?! He ran that db right the f over, they went to a shot of him sitting on the bench and he was still hurting. I don't get Mooch and this team....
-
Mooch is too nice, the Lions need someone that will strike fear into them and beat them down with a belt if they mess up. The defense is underrated, last I checked they were 6th in the league. You can't blame them for the Chicago game, they were on the field 75-80% of the game.

Cutting him would be silly, he has the tangibles to be a great, great reciever. Anyways, it's not like Joey was throwing the ball to him anyways. And when he did he missed him with the exception of one pass which was catchable. Maybe this time off will allow him to get over himself and realize that there are two other recievers out there, one of which is already a playmaker. I agree that he should get the ball more but don't whine about it.

WTF was up with Mooch basicaly benching KJ in the second half!?! He stated they just "wanted to mix things up." You have a back that is capable of being one ot the best and you don't play him? I was ready for KJ to bust out considering how pumped up he got after he destroyed that db and got the td. I guess Mooch thought otherwise. *edit* As for Harrington throwing it behind them and all over the place, it would probably help if he didn't throw off his back freaking foot 80% of the time.

Cav's are a little bit too high imo but that's just me. I'd probably put them around 10. Other than that they look fine, yours will probably be the only one with Detroit ahead of Miami though, but they are getting hyped up way too much. Fine with me though, let em all think Miami is just going to run away with it, thats better for Detroit. It will be interesting to see if any of the "experts" pick Detroit out of the East.

Cold Pizza's Woody and Skip (aka the idiot) both agreed that the Tigers are going to be regreting this down the road. They both said that injuries have riddled them and they did look like they were on the uprise. They say Tampa Bay should be looking into Tram.

There are still shots of this play on the net out there and it's tough to call. You can see the ball moving into his chest untill the fourth one, which he is out bounds, so I guess it all comes down to your definition of control. It's not like he is bobbling the ball or anything so you could argue that he did have control the whole catch but on the other hand if the ball doesn't stop moving into his chest untill he is out bounds it isn't. I'm surprised nobody mentioned this but they didn't waste much time reversing that call, the ref only looked at the play for a minute, and he was ready.
-
It's heroes. A mistake I wouldn't expect for someone claiming they will be going there in a couple years.
-
I disagree. For me it was very clear that when he MAINTAINED posession [When a player controls the ball throughout the act of clearly touching both feet, or any other part of his body other than his hand(s), to the ground inbounds.] of the ball his right leg was out of bounds. It was one hell of a catch though, same with Mike Williams...

It's pretty sad when you have one of the announcers telling what Harrington should have and shouldn't have done on almost every play. He was spot on on all of them as well, he "thinks" he feels pocket pressure when it isn't there (a la happy feet) he gets rid of the ball way too fast when he does have time (a la checkdown), and he just makes bad decisions. 2 or 3 of the incompletions should have been caught BUT it would have helped if they weren't underthrown or overthrown. And what the hell was up with the last play, Harrington didn't throw it to anybody but stands. Play for the fukkin' draft pick again, I'm watching Atlanta and if Vick stays healthy it's going to be them and Philly at the conf. game again.

Not really, it happened with 14 minutes left in the game. So it did not really affect the game at all, it was way to early. You can say this and say that but it really doesn't matter. Now if that happened with 2 minutes to go or something than yea maybe it would have. Pitts got beaten by the better team, the Pats are still the champs (and the best team) untill someone dethrones them. Could very well be Pittsburg, thats really the only team I see doing it. You can be in denial and say it was the time keepers fault but thats just making up excuses. *edit* Plus the mistake was at home so nobody can really say anything. But if it was at N.E......well there would have been a riot....

People have been saying Carr is way too conservative for many years. Of course people aren't going to be complaining as much when they are winning becuase....well....they are winning. However, that doesn't change the fact that he is conservative as hell. Michigan at 2-2 is unacceptable, you can blame the refs for the two botched touchdown calls, blame whatever or whoever, still doesn't change the fact that he isn't aggressive one bit. Teams do lose their good players but Coaches don't lose their abilitly to coach [conservatively] over time.

http://media.putfile.com/LAYEDOUT_ That's the hit. It was a cheap shot, but I'm still putting some blame on Harrington for leaving Pollard hang out to dry like that. Even if that was a clean hit it still would have devastated Pollard.
-
I know for a fact that KJ got 8 carries in the first half but not sure about the second half. I personally think that Detroit should just mimic San Diegos offense, especially since people were PERSISTANT in saying that Joey Ballgame is going to be the next Drew Brees and light it up this year :/ But they should give KJ the ball 40 times including passes a game. Defenses would be so worried about KJ that Joey could go deep with any reciever. Unfortunately Mooch will not change a thing so all this is for none. Unfortunately Millen and co. are here to stay...
-
^^^Which is why they have to establish a running game as well, teams won't blitz nearly as much if they are running the ball well. No run game = huge loss, it's as simple as that. Teams know that if they stuff the run Mooch gives up on it and starts to give Joey the ball all the time. Add in blitzes with that and the recipe is games like Chicago. And just think, Millen signed a 5 year extension :/

That hit wasn't Harringtons fault? Are you blind? He HUNG Pollard out to dry, if you saw the play you would have seen that. If you haven't seen it I suggest you watch it. *EDIT*No one considered the hit dirty. "It wasn't an intentional helmet-to-helmet or anything," Mariucci said. "Sometimes those things happen when guys are playing fast. I was just glad to see Marcus get up and be OK." Of course that win wasn't all his fault, 4 out of the 5 interceptions however were his fault. Along with all the bad throws and decisions he made. He is mediocre at best right now with poor mechanics. The fact of the matter is that the Lions have to play good in order for Joey to actually win a game and most the time it's Joey not losing the game rather than winning it. Most every game is a team loss but not all, there were three games last year that weren't... He has to come out firing these next 2-3 games and it's probably not going to happen. He's going up against Tampa Bay, Baltimore and Carolina all with damn good defenses. If he wants to prove that he is worthy of a starting position and can be consistent now is the time.
-
"Tight end Marcus Pollard said he suffered a mild concussion when he was drilled by safety Mike Brown in the fourth quarter. "That was probably the hardest hit I've had in 10 years," Pollard said. "I guess I blacked out for a few seconds. I remember reaching for the ball, and the next thing I remember was seeing (trainer) Al Bellamy's ugly mug asking me if I was OK." Nice pass Harrington.
-
You guys are forgetting that the Bears KNEW that he was going to drop back and pass it. That does not help with blitzes, stunts, etc. They gotta keep pounding the ball even if it ain't workin'. If Jones is as good as everyone says he is, which he is, he will eventually make something happen. The O-Line does suck but I only really saw it force one pick. He has to stop throwing off his back freakin' foot, make smarter decisions, and just step up. As Jamie said on the round table he isn't making any progress as a quarterback and for every step he takes forward he takes two back. Did you guys see Joey hang Pollard out to dry and then Pollard get absolutely destroyed? He can not throw or place the ball for s**t, that throw was almost the final straw. Hopefully he will do better (although a big part of me wants him out). I agree with Sting about Orvlorsky, he has a great arm and pretty good accuracy and is pretty mobile. They are playing Tampa in two weeks which I think will probably be another loss and if it gets this bad again I would really love to see what Orlvosky can do in a quarter, he did well against a good Buffalo defense. It was funny during yesterdays post game when Joey stated that they just need to bounce back like they did after the Rams game when they played Buffalo...I chuckled....and then yelled....YEA YOU DIDN'T EVEN PLAY IN THAT GAME YOU IDIOT.

And then you can say that Michigan State has a better team. Sorry for calling you a punk, little out of line, you are cocky as sh*t though
-
Yeah I know. But this thread was to discuss about my this michigan team is overrated. And they are. What does michigan's OVERALL SCHOOL RECORD have anything to do with this year. Than what does Michigan State have anything to do with Michigan being over-rated? I'll tell you, nothing. And State isn't a better team, the bcs standings say so, and untill they surpass Michigan they won't be the better team. Let me ask you a question: If the last place team beats the first place team in their only meeting in that year does that make the last place team a better team than the first place team? The answer is no. Just becuase a team beats another team that a different team did not does not make them better. You know what, you are even worse than that other guy, he was at least joking. You are just trying to be a cocky, arrogant, rub it in your face punk. And that's gonna come back and hit you square in the face one day and you can't say you didn't have it coming.

Ugh...Manning killed me today :/

FIVE (5) picks by Joey Ballgame, one of them was Roy's fault but that still leaves 4 for him...he also could not hand the ball off correctly on one play as well today. As the announcer said let's just hope it was one of "those days" for Joey, I'm not quite sure it is but I'm hoping that it is. Chicago doesn't have the horrendous defense that Green Bay has but I didn't expect them to do that bad. They are reverting back to last years gameplan, stop the run attack....for how much Mooch stresses a good run attack is needed they sure do give up on it easily. Get rid of Millen, Mooch, the Fords, and Joey and start clean...unfortunately none of that is going to happen.

You do realize that you are no better than that guy that posted in the Spartan thread going on about Michigan now right? I'm glad they won, Michigan is my favorite team but that doesn't mean I don't root for all colleges in Michigan. Spartans blew a 21 point lead and if they would have choked it would not have been good to say the least. *Edit* What's even more funny is that you didn't mention anything about the game in the Spartans thread and you directly came to the Michigan thread.
