Nah, I played hockey for 15 years, I was surrounded by politics. I guess the people/friends I know just got lucky. Whatever.
-
Or the saying, "you can dish it out but you can't take it" which I like better.
-
I didn't deny anything going on there I simply stated it's not as hard to get in as people think. It is still hard, don't get me wrong, but as I said if you have those three things you will have a chance. I'm assuming that the two white students ACT scores were high? If they had that much going for them I find it hard to believe that they didn't get accepted.
-
Michigan is not as good as Notre Dame Going by one game sure they are better. But who has the best winning % all-time? I think that would make Michigan better
-
Well, for your sake, I hope you're asian- otherwise you might have a broken heart. Rejected from U of M? Personally I know 20some people that got accepted into U of M the past 3 years that went to a public school and are white. If you have the grades, the act score, and a letter of recomendation it isn't that hard to get into U of M. Whether you want to accomplish those three things is up to you not your race.

Can't really complain....but you can....Green Bay nearly GAVE that game to Detroit. Defense did play rather well and the offense was OK. Considering GB defense really sucks I was expecting a little bit more....the game was reaaaaaaallllllyyyyyyy booooring to watch. 1st place and Joey and co. didn't look too shabby, they are gonna have to play better to take the division though. http://www.freep.com/sports/lions/drew12e_20050912.htm

You gotta use your head bro and start reading posts. I didn't say Grady was better than Hart, I reinforced what Matt said and agreed that Grady is GOING TO POSSIBLY be even better. The keyword is going....to.....possibly....which means he's not better now but perhaps in the future. Again, read the post correctly.
-
No, Matt stated that Henne was going to be a Heisman candidate. You may have agreed with him, I'm not sure. You are making no sense here: You say that Michigan doesn't have a running back and then you say they need Hart. I'm confused, are you saying that Hart is a good running back or are you saying Michigan doesn't have a running back? Maybe you think hart will be out which mean they don't have a running back, I dunno. You have to be more clear but I highly doubt Hart will be out any longer, he was able to walk off the field, it's most likely a bruise. Michigan may need Hart NOW, but as Matt stated Grady is going to possibly be even better.

"They dont have a running back or receiver. An inexperienced quarterback doesnt help either." That's when you said it lol, short term memory?
-
Yep, the most winningest college football team is over-rated, Hart and Grady suck and Henne can't do crap ....please stop watching college football or at least read up on it before you open your mouth. Henne is already in Michigans record book (as a freshman mind you) and Hart is considered the best sophmore running back in the nation. They don't need Hart to win they just need to play smarter and better. They were missing their best player on the o-line and Massaqui was out as well. Besides EVERYONE knows that Michigans D isn't that good and it showed yesterday, how many 3rd and longs did ND convert? A bunch. The only thing over-rated is Lloyd Carr, he's gotta grow some balls and be more aggressive. Look what happened in the last quarter when they had to get aggressive, hmmmmm, they almost won that game. *EDIT* "Am i a little overexcited that notre dame won against michigan?? Yeah....i am. I cant help it tho. I am not ignorant...just maybe a little aggorgant or cocky. This was a big game." The moment you stated that Michigan doesn't have a reciever, running back, or a quarterback made you extremely ignorant...

Well, I just found out that Garcia broke his leg on friday nights preseason game with the Bills. With virtually no threat of losing his position now because a)Milen said they will not bring in another qb and b)Orvlosky is a rookie I pretty much think this team is now doomed unless Joey really steps it up. It's gonna be at least 6 weeks and Harrington had this to say "I feel terrible for the guy. I'm frustrated as a teammate and a friend," Harrington said. "I just hope he's feeling better soon." No you don't, you now know that your job is safe for at least 6 weeks regardless of how you play. I highly doubt they would throw in Orvlosky if Harrington doesn't do to well in the first few weeks. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=250902002

True but thats what he has been able to do the past 3 years....and look what he accomplished during that. Please don't say he had no help, he was a part of the puzzle to the s***acular offense. With no threat to his job he better step it up and play ball this city will run him out of town. Push comes to shove just give KJ the ball 40+ times a game (pass included), similiar to what they do with LT in SD.

Can't say it any better than that. I find it pretty hard to imagine Bonds not knowing what exactly it was that his trainer put on him. Personally I would not want someone putting something on me without telling me exactly what it was, but thats just me. You also have to take in the fact that Bonds' trainer had a very good reputation of being the guy you go to to get steroids, surely Bonds knew this as well. Palmeiro deserves to get all the boos he gets, and he has no right to sit there and complain about it. He's deep in his own s**t that he created and there is NO way to dig himself out. All this crap makes me even more mad that a hard working blue collar guy, Mr. Charlie Hustle himself, Pete Rose will not get into the hall of fame and some steroid freak is going to.....f*ck that.....Cheating is far more worse than betting on a game imo, Pete accomplished what he did with hard work and hustle. He didn't have to put any cream on or take any shots in the ass to do what he did. Anyways....Go UofM

Maybe....they played Hawaii....were you expecting Hawaii to put up a fight? I know I wasn't so their clobbering of Hawaii wasn't a surprise. They have such an easy schedule though. If Michigan could play some solid D they could beat USC, they have the offense, the defense is a ? mark though. Henne's accuracy was only questionable on long (40+ yard) passes, its his first game of the season give him a break. Short passes he was spot on and he can fukkin heave that ball too man, I wish Joey could throw like him Heroes I'm going with you on this one and I'm not bashing Navarre and Perry in any way. Henne and Hart are better right now and they will be even better in the future. Hart is the best back in the league in my book, most will say Reggie Bush though. You CAN NOT push Hart back, you just can't, the kid is a freak, a 5'9'' freak that runs over lbs and dts.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/preview05/ne...tory?id=2146877 Couldn't agree more. 65% passing doesn't mean jack when he ain't putting numbers up on the board. Some of it is the very bland play calling in the red zone but some of it is also Joey. When you have two huge recievers in Williamsx2 (especially Mike) I don't know how you just can't loft on into the corner and they jump up and get it. Ahhhh, nm, you need good ball placement for that Let's hope for our and the Lions sake that Joey doesn't bust....it would be hard to watch and take down with all that freaking awesome talent but no qb to do anything with it. Cuz methinks Garcia won't cut it either.

Van Exel is a little washed up.... First it was Miami and now it's S.A. Aussie?

It is a long time, Michigan now has arguably the best back in the nation and the best qb in the big 10....and they're sophmores....they did lose some key players though, especially on defense.
-
Yea, he ran way too much. Not that he did a bad job at it becuase he picked up quite a few first downs doing it BUT it was the way he did it. He's not that big of guy and he's pretty damn old and he just plows into lbs which is going to get him hurt. When he just let the play happen and didn't scramble (although he needed to at times) he did awesome including the td pass. Edwards is gonna be a top notch reciever just by his size alone and he's pretty quick. He almost made that nice one handed catch when the ball was thrown out of bounds and the td pass he caught was nice also. I love seeing talent coming out of Michigan (as a whole state) regardless where they end up playing...

OK game today. Joey, KJ, and Williams X2 didn't look too bad. Only complaint I had with Joey is he still really doesn't put the football where it needs to BUT his arm looks a whole lot better. If he can place some of his passes better he could have a very productive season. Garcia looked good and bad, threw two picks and one td. Joey should watch Garcias td pass though, that thing was placed PERFECT and it was about a 35 yard pass. Orlovosky or whatever looked like a rookie, threw a HORRIBLE pick in the last 2 minutes. Defense sorta sucked again, Shaun Rogers left early with a bruised calf I believe. Bright side: KJ DESTROYED this db, absolutely DESTROYED him. I was laughing so hard, he freakin' took out the guys shoulder. He had to have laid there for a couple minutes. KJ is going to be a BEAST this year, right now he's the only sure thing we have. I'm still laughin' just by the freakin' sound of it....

Ye' of little faith eh? You call yourself a Pistons fan? The Lakers had a deeper team than the Heat (even if they do get Finley) and look what the Pistons did to them. They [The Pistons] aren't the same team as that year, they will be better. Delfino is going to be back and he brings instant scoring from the bench as would Spree. Arroyo is going to improve and play like he did the first 5 games when he got here (everyone was real pumped about him then he vanished). Darko may improve, may not, he's a crap shoot at this point and they may play Maxiell. Rasheed is supposively working out like a madman becuase he wants to make up for that one little mistake he did vs. S.A. Dice is still gonna come off the bench and put up solid numbers. And let's not forget about Flip, he is gonna bring a new offensive aspect to this team and if they still have that same d watch out. But go ahead and count them out just like the rest of the world will, the favorite always doesn't win....
-
I would. Hossa=100 pt player and Redden is a physical d-man but quick also. He's not nearly as good as Lidstrom but still as solid as they come. I would also consider Dats + draft pick for Hossa.
-
They will straighten him out, no way would he be able to have an attitude and stay on this team. Spree can be a good addition to this team, at least scoring wise.
-
Jalen Rose is also on his list and if push comes to shove I guess Sprewell.

Try telling that to a certain person that threw 49 touchdowns last year OR any other top qb. Please explain why it is so over-rated. I know that in the wco it's really not that important for a qb to have a deepball, but it does help, and its certainly not over-rated. Reason why it isn't: It adds another dimension to the offense that the defense has to worry about. If you just have a qb that can throw short slant routes (much like Garcia AND Joey, more Garcia though) than the safeties can blitz with ease, double team, etc. all they want becuase they know that the qb can't throw it deep. Second reason: play action. KJ is going to be a beast this year and the Lions will be able to utilize the play action a ton. Look at the Colts, they use the play action to PERFECTION and that gives Manning the time to heave the ball downfield. You get those safeties and lbs to bite on that play action, whip it down field to some of the biggest targets in the NFL right now and you got yourself a huge chunk of yardage and even a touchdown.
