I just read ESPN would once again rather talk about themselves than hockey.

If he'd been right, kudos to him. He's still a nimrod, yellow journalist, and a sensationalist. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut. Same difference. Who knows. It could happen the next round. I still won't listen to him. He's a "journalist" who admittedly hates hockey. Mike and Mike can take a long walk off a short pier. I don't care about those f***ers. I've wasted too much of time responding in this thread ... twice now.

Shock radio, yellow journalism, et. al. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm sure Mike & Mike's ratings are going down since I started my boycott against them. One says something outrageous to try to get listeners back on board. It creates publicity. Look how many responses this thread has as an example.

The whole League, owners and players, agreed to the new CBA. Bettman can be blamed for a lot of stuff, but a few lopsided series is not is not one of them. I'd rather credit the dominating teams for doing things the right way.

He's a pretty good writer. I really liked him at one time. But he has absolutely zero room to talk about poor attendance. If he wrote more about hockey and the Red Wings, then OK. But he's written how many articles this year prior to post-season? Probably one. He should go back to writing sentimental, nostalgic books or chatting away on the four-letter network if this is the best you can muster now. I bet he only raised a stink about the attendance as a way to increase hits on the Freep's website and sell more newspapers. There's a name for that - yellow journalism.

This move will have absolutely no influence on me at all. I am nearing my two-month anniversary of boycotting ESPN broadcast products. Not only do I think I'm better for it, but I am also happier.

Rest is good, but it will hinder the Wings because they will come out rusty.

Yeah, coming to this thread late I have no idea what the shot is. In the future whoever posts something that changes daily should host the original shot on say Photobucket so it would be here permanently. Or at least more permanently than a 24-hour period.

I still wish Avery played for the Wings. That was a bad trade. Anyway in my opinion Brodeur is acting like a jerk. I mean it's not like Avery slammed Brodeur's face into the glass and a penalty wasn't called. Brodeur didn't have reconstructive surgery from his run-ins with Avery. Brodeur needs to get over it. It should be water under the bridge now. I guess Brodeur can't take a little trash talk and chippiness.
