The NHL might be able to make even more money if it tried appeasing fans. That whole attracting more flies with honey than vinegar cliche. That said given any match-up the networks can potentially upset 28 other teams' fans. "You can't please all the people all the time." Still the NHL seems to be more vinegar than honey. Or maybe it's hockey fans, or NHL general managers who are never satisfied and always want to tinker with the game. Or maybe it's NHL fans who have an inferiority complex because the sport they love so passionately isn't the top-rated sport in the United States. I don't know. I don't have all the answers. But tonight's match-up, even though it's on the heels of yesterday's NBC Game of the Week, seems a trivial one to complain about.

I don't really have a problem with this. At least Versus shows NHL games.

So nobody has a video to post? Those slimmer jerseys are horrible. I still hate them. I expect in a game or two, he'll being a larger size to compensate.

Why is the basketball court at Ford Field 27 inches above the turf? That could be dangerous for the players.

Reilly could win the debate, but maybe not the popular vote here.

Expanding the playoffs is an extremely bad idea in my opinion.

Great article. I'm one or the other or both. lol

Well I was for IU. Now I'm rooting for any Big Ten team - so Michigan State and Wisconsin. I was also pulling for any Indiana team, but now they're all out of it.

It's the same reason used as to why the Wings weren't selling out the Joe too.
-
It's been on during the Tournament too.

Part 1 Was at the game when Hull scored his 700th goal. Part 2 Wearing my Lidstrom jersey at a Nashville game last year, a Predators fan flipped me for sure. I might have been beligerent, but I can't honestly imagine that.
-
I'm now predicting a loss too. Wings hardly ever win when they don't score first. I'd like to see how many games they've won when their opponent scored first.

I bet this is the photographer's gaffe. That said. I'm surprised it made that far, ESPN's website, without anybody in the editing chain noticing. Part blame could be laid at ESPN's gatekeepers.

Boo freakin Hoo. I couldn't care less.

Since February the Wings look ordinary. I'm not panicking, but I am concerned. They certainly don't look like they could take very many playoff-bound teams right now. The injuries shouldn't be used as an excuse either. Colorado is still fighting for the Northwest Division lead, despite the injuries the Avalanche has suffered.

QFT Hey if I'm not mistaken, the typeface for Impact is Impact.

Campbell is wrong. They were in the same context. Both players were hacked off and both retaliated by stomping another player.

This proves to me the NHL has a soft-spot for Sunbelt teams.
-
Because Pronger only receives an eight-game suspension while for the same incident Simon received a 30-game suspension. The NHL has suspended both players eight times too.
-
Pronger deserves 30. That's what Simon received. Bruce MacLoed in his blog makes a strong argument of why Pronger's suspension should have been longer. http://redwingscorner.blogspot.com/2008/03...suspension.html

... of schedules like this:

Because it blatantly favors Sunbelt teams.

Poor kid maybe he wants to be flushed down the toilet because his father made him wear a Leafs jersey. Or maybe it supposed to be that's where the Leafs organization is - in the toilet. The possiblities are endess.

I don't care what ESPN says anymore. I'm officially boycotting everything ESPN except the website. ESPN is obviously run by hockey haters, from the top down. This mindset is ingrained in all of its employees. It's obvious to me that Comlishaw is just throwing hockey fans a bone, but in my opinion it's not enough. I hope the NHL never goes back to ESPN. I've decided I'd rather hunt to try to find it on the web, NBC, Versus, Fox Sports regional networks or any other network besides the world-wide entertainment leader.
