Doesn't seem to matter to the Avs though, they have been playing pretty well without him. If he doesn't come back, they will miss him most in the playoffs, if they make it.

I wonder why hockey fans are so depressed? I think it's an attitude problem. Hockey is great, and NHL hockey is the best. There's none better. There's not a sport that's better. There are lots of talented young players who are exciting to watch. This is an exciting time to be a hockey fan; we should all be thankful.

Interesting insight from the game you all. I went to a game there last year, and was surprised by the number of Wings fans in attendance. I thought I was going to get my ass kicked for wearing a Wings jersey, but soon found I was among many other Wings fans. My buddies who I went to the game with are huge Avs fans. Anyway most Colorado fans and staff were really nice to me. No matter where I see the Wings on the road the "Red Wings suck" or "Detroit sucks" chants usually make an appearance so that's to be expected. The most hostility I've received on the road is in Nashville.

I noticed that too. I'm thinking incompetence. It is interesting hearing the game without announcers though. Hey did anybody else read this, the last line in the AP story? This is unlike Boston when only 1,500 people attended a game during a snowstorm. Denver is a hockey town.

Well he was originally given credit as having scored the goal, so if they gave it to somebody else who maybe deflected it, I would think that Cleary would still have an assist.

I was listening to WXYT today and they were asking who's THE MAN in the Detroit sports scene. Of the Wings many said Datsyuk, Zetterberg, and Lidstrom. One guy called in and said Chelios. I didn't immediately think of him, but Chelios is a strong candidate. Especially with a quote like that.

That's true, but like somebody commented on that site, he might need to be brought up slowly. That benefits the Wings more than any other team in the NHL.

Franzen hit Jackman in the back. I don't know if it's such a clean hit. Jackman did turn is back to the ice though. Unless I see a wider view I don't know if Franzen could have stopped. In any case, it should be a heck of a tilt NYE.

Great game by the Wings tonight and Zetterberg and Holmstrom didn't even play. Hopefully tomorrow night's game will be a repeat of this one. Or better yet, a 7-0 Wings win.
