For comparison sake, Wings vs Braves, I'll say three championships in 16 years is at least three times better than one championship in 14 years. Many people say hockey is the hardest sport in which to win a championship. I agree with that. Going by percentages it's statistically harder to make the post season in baseball than other sports. However it's harder, and more physically demanding to win the Stanley Cup than to win the World Series. I also believe it's harder to win the Stanley Cup than it is to win the Super Bowl and NBA championship.

That's a very good point. I remember one time I got off a snide comment to a coworker. She retaliated by throwing a crumbled up paper ball at me. It hit me square in the privates. Shanahan would be great in some kind of role with the NHL, NHLPA, or managerial role with a team. Can't believe I didn't think about him earlier. More than any other singular persion I credit Shanny for ending the lockout. There were predictions the lockout could've lasted two years. Without him it just might have. Brett Hull IMO. He's articulate and speaks his mind. Oh, and I think Hull is only pulling in 4% because he's an American. Or at least sides with them in the Olympics and what not. So I think that pisses Canadians off, so they don't vote for him.

I hope the Wings never do. That would be awful IMO. If black was one of their color I wouldn't care. It's not, so I do. Besides black in sports jerseys seems so trendy. On a side note it really bugs me that on myespn.com the Wings theme uses black. I've e-mailed ESPN about it, but nothing has come of it so far. I just have this shown right now for explanatory purposes. I don't use this theme normally because it annoys me.

The more incidents like these happen the more I'm behind the idea of the player who injures should be out the same amount time of the player who was injured. Only then players will learn to play fair. There was no reason whatsoever for Ohlund to slash Koivu, who is an up and coming player. The NHL needs to protect its potential star players, if for nothing else to market them and help increase the League's fan base. More goonery like this and it will be a league of goons - National League of Hockey Goons, NLHG.

If Lidstrom doesn't fall down Sharp doesn't get the fourth goal. Three short-handed goals is just awful. Wings need to work on the power play.

That would be awesome. I hate the Ducks, especially Pronger and Giguere. Those two guys are big cheaters IMO.
