It is interesting. I wonder if those are the heated blades?

Hard to predict the future is. Who knows, hockey just might become the most popular sport in states one of these days. I can dream. IMO one should never say never.
-
Paul Woods just said the same thing. It's been changed on teh official scoresheet too. http://www.nhl.com/scores/htmlreports/20072008/GS020230.HTM Assists were also given to Lidstrom and Maltby upon further review. Still Cleary should've gotten first star IMO. Coming back and scoring after receiving like a gazillion stitches.
-
Wings don't need him IMO.
-
I'm so happy for Zetterberg! It was getting really close there.
-
I think the fans need to boo Fedorov more. He nearly scored a goal there.
-
I like the the white jerseys better because the best logo in all of sports, which is red, stands out against a white background better. The team name is Red Wings not Red Jerseys. In addition the white jersey just looks classier IMO. The white is to a tuxedo as the red is to a dinner jacket.
-
I think Redskins is very offensive. Indians as a name isn't bad, but the team logo is really bad IMO. I don't have a problem with Blackhawks, Braves, Warriors, Chiefs, etc. Those are fine and honor Native Americans, at least as I see it. Where does it stop if we get rid of those names? Should also we rename states and towns - Miami, Illinois, Michigan Indiana, Milwaukee, Dakota, Sioux City? Should the Army rename the nicknames of it's helicopter fleet? Rename them all if we start down the slippery slope of renaming even more teams.

Way to go Crapitals! This show one of two things - there's more parity in the League now as Babcock has said, or it's simply just a fluke.
-
Hmmm, being in the minority means I'm wrong. Fascinating. In the U.S., the NHL is the least popular sport of the four major leagues - NHL, MLB, NFL and NBA. Least popular = Minority Minority = Wrong NHL = Wrong
-
Well at least they're chatting about hockey.

I agree with Wes Goldstein http://cbs.sportsline.com/nhl/story/10460410/rss

That's the worst of any of the sports featured on Forbes. In baseball only the Yankees lost money. In basketball it was like eight teams, in American football five, and football three.
-
I was just going to post this too. It's all very interesting to me. There are also links for American football, baseball, basketball and football. What I found interesting is half of the NHL's teams lost money last year. http://www.forbes.com/lists/2007/31/biz_07...ons_Income.html

If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas. If Mario Lemieux doesn't have back injuries and cancer, he's the greatest hockey player ever. Careers, HOFers, and rather a player is a bust or not shouldn't be based on "ifs" and "buts." IMO the criteria should be based on longevity and how well he played.
-
Congratulations to Modano. I think he gave up the C because his captaincy duties were taking time away from his husbandry duties.
-
IMO he's a bust. Maybe not the biggest bust ever, but definitely a bust. He never fully lived up to his expectations. Colorado won two championships thanks to the trade. Lindros none. His "I won't play" antics are similar to those of John Elway, so throw in that he's big baby too. If he's a HOFer, then everybody who's not an expansion team throw-away is a HOFer. He doesn't belong in the Hall.

Yes. I liked Zetterberg's better though. He stopped Mason cold with his fake. Sweet goal. Also kind of a sad note, there were no Hits highlights.
-
OMG! The Avs didn't sell out a home game. http://www.nhl.com/scores/htmlreports/20072008/GS020216.HTM Where's the gloom and doom reports when the Avs don't sell out? It was just one game, and it was a Monday, but still it doesn't bode well for the NHL.
-
White. Though the year before lockout the NHL had already switched.
-
The only good thing about the shoot out is more highlights. Can't wait to see Z's OT goal. Heard it was fab.
-
Wings should've put the Predators away in regulation. Up 2-0 in the third with less than 10 minutes left. Not to mention nearly a week off. Damn shame to let the Predators get a point.
-
Damn that sucks. The Wings were suppposed to be well rested. Didn't seem to help in the third.
-
That's a very good point.
-
Congrats to Zetterberg! Hudler is looking good too after being demoted.
