Here in Indy I 'm getting the Hawks, Blues games. I vote for arena implosion. Tried the NHL on NBC stream, but I refuse to download and install Microsoft's Silverlight. So I'm listening to Ken Kal and Paul Woods, boy these guys are great. Seems to me I should be able to see any game that's not showing in my area. Go Wings!

Living in Indy I have FS Midwest, St. Louis, and FS Ohio available to me. So why I am allowed to watch the St Louis feed, but not the Ohio feed of the Blues, Jackets game tonight? Isn't that weird? I am about 60 miles closer to Columbus than St. Louis, but in my mind it should not make a difference. I"m not in either market.

Sorry Esquire, I agree with Barrie. If a historic hockey event like 21 straight home wins in the NHL is listed below the three stories you mentioned, then it's hardly an example of Canada knowing hockey. Sorry, I just don't see it.

Honestly, I thought the two minutes was enough. I was surprised to see the suspension too. Like others have posted, what's the difference between Kronwall's hit and Rinaldo's hit? They both left their feet.

Well this absolutely brutal ... the game isn't on Game Center Live and Ken Kal isn't calling the play-by-play on radio. I love Paul Woods and Kris Draper, but with these two color men are no Ken Kal.

Both hits seemed pretty bad to me. Both deserved penalties, and maybe both suspensions too. If Z gets a suspension, then these two today definitely deserve suspensions.

I am very disappointed Detroit isn't hosting the Winter Classic. Yet I understand 110,000 fans is hard to pass up. If any two fan bases can fill it up it'll be the Wings and the Leafs. That matchup is hard to deny - great rivalry and great organizations. As for sight lines, I've always thought the NHL could align an outdoor rink along one of the baselines. But I've heard few complaints, nationally, about any of the Winter Classics. Anyway, within 30 minutes of the announcement I had my hotel reservations made. Had to pay for a deposit too. That's a telltale sign, but I asked any way. The receptionist said it was for New Years, hesitated then said it was for the Winter Classic too. So the stories that came out later that said it wasn't a done deal, yeah right.
