Whew I think I need glasses!. I read thethread title and until re-read the first post I thought it said, "Hasek has hip surgery." I was about in panic mode. I was like, "OMG WTF happened!" Anyway glad it's just an injury, and hopefully nothing too serious. Seems like lfd250 might be right.

Can the Predators right themselves after a six-game losing streak? I don't really care about the question, what's interesting to me is that only 22 people in Tennessee have voted. Whereas in Michigan 125 have voted. I think for states only New York has more at 150. Outside the U.S. 223 people have voted. Truly MIchigan is a hockey state.

Bettman will of course deny this too. Like Gizmo said though it is just a rumour at this point. However, had said sources been named they then would be fired. So it was best, as far as job security is concerned, to remain anonymous. Oh and on sad note, if it does hold true, so long to 12 percent faster hockey. -
The other thing that upsets me about this is I thought the NHL was looking to INCREASE scoring. Be nearly everybody's account Holmstrom is not doing anything wrong. I don't know why the NHL is cracking down on him. It's more incongruity from the League.

Merci. Glad to see the Wings up. Hopefully they'll get two or three more in the third. I know about Bud Lynch - WWII vet and that he lost his arm. I'm looking forward to reading his book.

Arriving late to the party. Checked the game summary and surprise! Holmstrom called for goaltender interference again. Please tell me, was it deserved or another phantom penalty?

That agrument doesn't hold water anymore when Phoenix can't sell out a Wings game. http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/story/100105 Anaheim and L.A. were abberations IMO. I predict more Western Confercences cities will be like Phoenix when the Wings visit this season rather than California games. Even the Wings - Avs game I attended last year at The Pepsi Center wasn't sold out.

Yeah I meant to post this earlier. http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=62313 According to this article, the first game televised will be against the Wings on Nov. 11. It's great news for the organization IMO.
