What happend to the game-day chats?

For many years NHL.com has been far better in design and content than other major leagues' websites. Just myopinion. I don't think my homerism is any influence in that judgement either, because I can be pretty critical of things I like.

Is this the American or Canadian NHL Network? And when is the NHL getting it 15 million?
-
Verizon, and probably other mobile phone companies, already offer this service. http://tinyurl.com/ys9zav It doesn't mean much to me Matt. I hope to get an iPhone when the second generation comes out so it won't matter to me.

It's OK. I miss the side navigation links, According to the article I posted this morning, the upgrade and layout is supposed to be for more video content being posted there.
-
It offers great insight in the everyday machinations of being an NHL owner and general manager. Not only should every LGW member read it, but also all Wings fans and all NHL fans.

Changes in NHL rules and enforcement enable league to take big steps forward That's true. Try listening to a baseball or American football game online. It's possible but fans pay for those services. It's free on nhl.com. Lots of NHL content on youtube, but the NFL is draconian with its clips on there.

Maybe she's a journalist. By neglecting the "former" that photo caption is an Error in Fact. When I was at journalism school those weren't as bad as misspelling a person's name, which was an automatic 25-point deduction, but they were pretty bad. IIRC EIFs were maybe a -10, or -15. Now that's school, professionals are supposed to have higher standards. Maybe ESPN employees aren't professionals or maybe they just don't have any standards.

ESPN employees IMO need to do their job better, more objectively and without the self-congratulatory egoism. BTW I did give props to ESPN last week. http://www.letsgowings.com/forums/index.ph...t&p=1154027

IDK, but I use Google Calendar. http://www.google.com/calendar/render?tab=mc&pli=1 I have it set up so I get a notice in my Gmail inbox like 12 hours before game time too. Gmail can even forward it to a .mac account if you're going that route.

Happy to read that! I love good hits, and good battles in the corners or up front, BUT so many times those battles can become clutch and grab hockey and that makes me cringe. Oh and I loved when Illitch mentioned the playoffs and started talking as a fan about the Ducks games last year. Then Bowman chimes in two-ref system. LOL. I don't think Scotty likes it, and I don't either.

Awww man that was freaking the best! Just read the article and will soon read the whole transcript. The only way it would have been better is if I was there. That or if they had videotaped it. Great work by the News.

Yahoo got it right. There's really no excuse why the self-proclaimed sports leader can't get it right. http://tinyurl.com/2nwjun

Where are the news reports that the NHL will receive $15 million for delay in the start-up of the this network?
-
Damn Kenny Holland for letting Cheli get away! Anyway people make mistakes all the time, and there's a ton of copy to proof for ESPN. That said, they tend to make more than their fair share, especially when it comes to the NHL.

That's funny that story was just posted yesterday. Wimpy bite, wimpy organization. It's really hard to defend Bettman and his desire to keep the team there now.
-
Anybody else set up a profile there? I did. It's kinda like MySpace. In some way it's a lot better though. http://fans.nhl.com/5A-login/

At first I thought it was going to be about how Bobby Hull and Maurice Richard also wore number nine. Instead it's about the writer's, Terry Foster, daughter wearing nine. Awesome article. http://tinyurl.com/2f6mc8

Dangit. I was really hoping Grigorinko would make the team. I understand why Babcock sent him down. Hopefully Grigorinko does what Babcock hopes and he'll back sooner rather than later.

In next season's opener. So reports the Pttsburgh Post Gazette. http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/07274/82199...m?cmpid=HBEHTML I think it might go over better than the London and Japan season openers.

It's fine ESPN is involved. I really don't care. To think it's an objective poll would be incorrect. ESPN has an agenda, and to think it doesn't would be wrong.

Read the fluff language, Wikipedia calls these weasel words, as it builds up this oh-so-important poll.
