Had to travel down to Atlanta this weekend. Traveling back yesterday I tried to find as much hockey coverage I could on the radio. Much to my surprise ... Nashville >>>> Atlanta. Maybe it helped that Predators played last night, maybe not. Maybe it's all the hostility in the Sharks-Preds games. All I know is I listened to the Thrashers flagship station from Atlanta to Chattanooga from 3:30 to about 5:00, and most of the talk was the upcoming NFL draft, with the exception of aboot five minutes of Thrashers chat. I picked up 104.5 the Zone in Nashville aboot an hour later and 30 miles out. All hockey talk! Callers and hosts were breaking down the Wilson-Trotz and Cheechoo-Tootoo fueds. Good stuff. More importantly it was ALL hockey.

Good points Legionnaire11. I'll also add that Atlanta has a compliment of major league teams, at least in name, and so does Detroit. I mention Detroit b/c listening to WDFN and WXYT today ... Nashville > Detroit > Atlanta ... when it comes to hockey talk.

Yeah, Crosby said Stevie was his favorite player on Rome's radio show last week. If given the chance I'll listen to Rome over Dan Patrick any day of the week. Rome spotlights hockey at times whereas Patrick doesn't.

Anyway I was watching the beginning of the game at a sports bar, so I could SEE it, but couldn't HEAR it. Then I attended a basketball game. I know, I know.... for shame. Anyway the best part of the game as I could see was the national anthem by Amy Grant and some other dude. WOW! Amy is such a hottie!!! Too bad she's a Pred's fan.

Lebda's hit versus Bert's fall is totally irrelevant. The thing about concussions though is that even the slightest hit can knock you out whether it looks bad or not. It's similar to a guy getting hit in the testicles. I remember I was at work, and a girl through a paper ball at me. I missed catching it - call me a sieve - and it hit me in just the right spot. Instantly I was on the ground howling. She of course thought I was joking, but it laid me out. True.
