I agree with you on both counts, except Columbus is east of Detroit.

I know this is the NHL, that every game is tough ... but the last two games have been disappointing efforts IMO. The Wings should put away teams like the Kings and Bruins.

I prefer the Wings white jerseys, but I hope the NHL stays with the dark jerseys at home. Oh and BTW it Red WINGS, not red JERSEYS, lol, so it could either, but Red WINGS shows up better on white JERSEYS. lol

Thanks aflac9262 for recording and posting it. Again, it pains me to say it, but I agree with Bettman on many of the things he said. Traditional markets look down their down there nose at newer markets. That the NHL is better with Versus than ESPN That the NHL is the best sport, that the growth potential is great, that the NHL has farther to go than the other three major sports, that sports TV ratings are down, that the NHL rebounded very well to the lockout where as baseball didn't, that it was the right thing to do to wait until after this cycle to change the schedule, etc. The number one thing I agree with him on the most is what he said about Yzerman. It nearly brought tears to my eyes. The only thing I don't agree with him is that the Wings should stay in the West, and for selfish reasons I want the Wings to stay in the West. Living in Indiana is great for a Wings fan. I'm close to all the Central division cities.

Yep. Most hockey coverage that ESPN has given from what I've seen. That said at least Mike & Mike on the morning program said this isn't indicative of hockey.

It was a good game. I was really happy to see Calder score 1:48 in and later add an assist. The game atmosphere is awful at United Center, which is a shame because it's a fairly nice arena - on the inside. Outside there's NOTHING, and UC is in a truly awful location. Besides the team's poor perfromance I can see wny Hawks fans stay away. If it wasn't for the Wings fan there, the atmosphere would have been horrid.

WOW! I finally disagree with Brett Hull on something, the Versus deal. Given time and in the long run this is a better deal than what the NHL was getting or was going to get on ESPN. That mickey mouse network would rather show ... take your pick ... anything over hockey! I find it incredible NHL fans who complain about Versus but don't remember how poorly ESPN treated the League. IMO if anybody at ESPN says or writes they want the NHL back, it's just so ESPN can have a monoply. As far as Hull's take on Bettman, I agree with him a 100 percent.
