Most excited i have been for a wings game since I can remember. Should be a great series. Keep it up wings.

Just a quick question, I am on espn.com right now and barry melrose has a "chat room" thing goin on. I have asked a couple of questions (even though i know i will get a flat out idiotic response) and none of them have been answered. Has anyone ever tried (and if so gotten an answer) one of these things on espn.com?

I think he was saying he was a bust because of how highly some people spoke of him even after the crash.

It occurred to me as I was watching the game tonight that there isn't a team in the league who has the balance or the overall player skill level than the wings. Pav's looked like an MVP, Franzen is picking it up, and all is looking well for the wings. Congratulations on a 17th straight playoff birth (a longest active north american professional sports record). and Congratulations on breaking the 100 point mark for the eighth straight year and the 12th time in the last 14 years. This is why its great to be a wings fan.

By the way.. anyone know when to expect Cleary back in the lineup?? Hopefully he can get like 5 games under his belt before playoffs start

I dont really understand all the Hudler bashing. The guy has 38 points (12 goals 26 assists) and he is still only 23 or just turned 24. So he may be small, but he is deceptive enough on the ice to get away with that. I look at his goal to assist ratio. He's a natural play maker. So he may not have the vision or defensive ability of a great player, but that will come, i mean he is going to finish the season getting the equivalent of a point in every other game he plays. Everyone is so high on flip right now (including myself) but we should look at him a little closer. Getting 6 more minutes a game he has five less points, and if thats not enough, he only has 15 assists to go with his 18 goals. Filppula needs someone to get him the puck so he can put it in the net, and that is exactly what hudler can do. Hudler makes everyone around him better (excluding on the defensive end) and is a key part of this team. People should be ripping on someone like who has been awful this year Franzen (although he has picked it up a lot recently.. hopefully that continues into the playoffs). Hudler reminds me of datsyuk with his type of production.. high assists low goals..while filppula reminds me of zetterberg's type of production... high goals low assists..(although watching a game you can tell hudlers playing style is more of a natural shooter like a Lang combined with a zetterberg.. i cant believe i just said those two names in the same sentence.. while filppula is more of a fancy moves guy like datsyuk. Anyways my main point is although Hudler may seem like the most easily disposable player in the future, he is still just a kid and has a lot of room for improvement. This guy ranks 7th on the wings in terms of points, 2nd among people not on the 1st pp unit. Hudler will come relatively cheap and i would love for him to be a contributor to the team in the future.

I would sacrifice Drake for McCarty no problem

dont get me wrong, i think rafalski fits in very well, however when i saw him play against the ducks it looked like he really struggled against physical play. I guess we'll see in the playoffs.
