This I can't understand. With so many of our top players out with injuries, most of them only played in half of this seasons games. These guys should be fresher than those who played the whole season. Man, I wish I could pull that off, but I can't. These games DON'T keep my mind off of the "stupid s***." Each of these losses just make me feel like life sucks even more. I've missed a lot of Wings games on TV this year, because of all of the games that were exactly like game 3. You could just see the same old s*** happening a mile away, and I refused to drive my mental health down even more by being a part of it.

Every time I see Pavelski and Setaguchi, I think of Draper, Maltby, or LaPointe 13 years ago. The grind line no longer exists - time to get rid of them. Ever notice that every time Flip gets the puck, he tries to go end to end by himself - but never makes it. Of course, if he tries to pass, it gets intercepted anyway. And whenever I see Williams or Ericcson on the ice, I switch to the Tigers game. Then I go back in a few minutes to note that the opponents have scored. Why do the Wings look slow & tired? Hell, half the team had half the season off due to injuries. They should be the freshest team in the playoffs. And our captain. Good lord, Nick, don't come on the postgame show and say "we may have let up a bit in third, and you just can't do that!" YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN DOING THAT ALL SEASON!!!! If you know that is your tendency, then you sure as hell should be looking out for it. As Nick said, "this games behind us - we're looking toward the next game." I guess this must mean that you don't learn from a whole season of screw-ups. As for goaltending, get rid of both Ozzy and Howard. Then sign Miller and Brodeur, since they must suck even worse from first round exits, and could be had a bargain prices.

If we're going to continually get penalties called on us, then we should make them count. I'd offer bonus money to the player who lays out Pavelski - just like Stevens did to Kozlov in 1995. And that wasn't even a penalty!!!!! If the penalties are coming anyway, then let the blood flow.

Let me attack this from another angle. Let me compare the hatred of the Wings to the hatred some (including myself) have for Jimmie Johnson, the NASCAR champion. It is a situation where simple explanations just don't seem to add up. Given that all participants play by the same rules, it defies believability that the Red Wings or the Hendrick Motor Sports managements can be that much better or smarter than all of the other management teams to win as much as they do. So, if I can't believe that disparity of brain power or work ethic, then there must be some kind of shady business going on in the background. Just as Hendrick opponents can point out endless "phantom debris cautions" at races which favor the Hendricks, I'm sure there are others who consider it a given that the Wings are somehow "favored" by the NHL. I'm sure there are those who could talk about special rules for Lidstrom just as much as we can talk about special rules for Malkin & Crosby.

Thank goodness I had the NASCAR race to watch, so I didn't have to focus on the city of losers entries - Wings and Tigers! Sometimes I really do think some of these guys on the Wings must discuss what it would be like to not have to "work" past April. With the ridiculous money these clowns make, the extra playoff money is probably barely worth their while. The NBC guys mentioned that the Wings just didn't match the Yotes energy level, which to me is just inexcuseable, considering the importance of the game. I think fines should be in order. I think I'll salvage the day and do a little trout fishing.

Which one of you guys mentioned that, after the first period, you mentioned it was gonna suck to lose this game? I'll bet a lot of us were thinking the same thing. The following are some of my "just like to see" items concerning the Wings. 1. I'd just like to see the opposing defensemen give us some of the giftwrapped turnovers that we regularly serve up to them. I just don't recall seeing that happen. 2. Yes, this is a bit macabre and/or sick, but I'd like to see some of the opponents having to be helped off the ice for a change. Why does it always have to be us? 3. Why is it never guys like Stuart or Ericksson who get injured - always our better players. Oh, that's right, you have a better chance of being injured if you're actually in the play! 4. I'd like to see someone ask Babcock or Lidstrom the following: "You have mentioned before about having to play a full 60 minutes, and not lose concentration. Having said that, could you tell us what exactly will happen in the course of the next two games to make you all forget that you ever said that, so that you'll most likely be right back here in a few days saying the same things? Could we call this a bad case of cranial-rectal insertion? Of course, what our prize winning TV team will really ask is something really intelligent, like "How disappointing is this loss tonight?" I just hope that this coming break will do what has been done in so many other situations - cool off the hot teams, and heat up the cold teams.

Can someone tell me what the Joe is like after a game like this? Does everybody just act like Babcock clones, or are there people rushing to the Wings walkway, yelling at them to get their heads out of their asses? I, too, was a little concerned when I saw that there were still 4-1/2 minutes left. Sadly, my concern was justified. I don't consider myself a bandwagon fan. But when life in general has been handing you as much s*** as it has me lately, you just don't need to watch millionaires ******* up to add to your angst. For now, I'll be watching something else, and just check the Wings during commercials (or else just watch the replay if they win).

I always knew that he was an intelligent, articulate guy. I always wondered why he didn't get a job as a coach or a color man on TV. Now I know why.

They certainly do, but our guys should have pretty good shots too. Yet we never try straight wristers in shootouts anymore, because even the players must know they will be stopped. Also, please excuse my residual pissed-offedness from yesterdays game.

IMHO, he let in three goals in the shootout - routine wrist shots that most goalies would have gobbled up - and we lost. Therefore, absolutely no awsomeness in his game today.

OK, my wife finally let me back on the computer! If this was such a great game, why do I feel like the whole weekend has been a f#&^*$g waste? I NEVER consider Wings losses to be great games. I knew when we wasted all of those OT chances, that we'd blow the shootout. As I see it, our guys had to conjure up all kinds of theatrical hipper-dipper just to get the puck in the net, while the Hawk players just cruised in and fired simple wrist shots that goalies on any other team in the league would routinely stop. If you don't believe me, how many times do you see the Wings score on similar wrist shots. Either our goalies suck at stopping routine crap, or our shooters somehow reveal to opposing goalies exactly where they're going to fire a wrister - probably both. Anyway, watching any team lose is a wasted day.

God, I wish we could score on a point-blank wrist shot, like other teams do to us. But since we seem to facing ******* Georges Vezina every game, our guys seem to think they have do go dipsy-doodling though the crease to score a goal - AND THEY DON'T! We missed so many chances in OT, we're sure to lose the shootout, especially since our guys will probably bring their "B" moves again.

If there was some way he could do it, I'd love to see Holland or Babcock start fining guys like Lebda $2000 for boneheaded plays like he just made on that goal.

OK, if we're gonna be getting called for every little thing, then at least start making these penalties count - let's start seeing some Chicago guys leaving the ice in the manner of Patrick Elias. It's high time we start being the injurers instead of the injurees. Wings goal - gooood

I know it's too much to ask for, but why don't Illich and Babcock, for once, lambast this league. Goodness knows they've got enough money for any fine levied. But, no, all Babcock will talk about is how they didn't play well, shouldn't have gone to a shootout, blah, blah,blah! Also, can't the ref who made the initial call say to the linesman, "Oh no you don't, *******, you're not over-riding me, because I was there!"

Will somebody explain something please. Did Babcock just say that the Wings got into NYC at 7:00 AM this morning??? Why??? It isn't like they played last night. Did they go back to Detroit, or did they travel direct from California? Why would they wait until the last moment to fly into NY? I see that Babcock is going to reward their effort tonight by giving them tomorrow off!

Well, we were embarassed to hell, and now we have to endure the Dork twins York and Keating, who will no doubt try to be witty while everybody else is super-pissed.

I wish this game ws at the Joe, so that these losers could get the reception they deserve at the end of the game! Of course, the Joe would already be empty by now. Are we going to get a post-game interview from Babcock, or is he going to hide like he did a few other times this year?

Jeeze, I just looked at the TV and saw that we are finishing up a PP - you would never have known by the play on the ice!

I think that I hate that f^%#Y Carlysle just as bad as I do Crawford. Don't look now, but I'm afraid the Wings are playing another Vezina goalie tonight.

Sheesh - a wide open Dats drops a pass into double coverage, just like a Lions QB!

Who the f^#% DOESN'T look like a Vezina candidate against us?

And just like that - the entire evening has been a f%^*% waste of time!

Can't somebody near the Red Wings bench yell at them to get their heads out of their asses? I guess that's too much to ask - this crowd doesn't even boo boneheaded bingling like what Meech did! Is there anybody at the Joe tonight?
