Sorry, still don't want the Nucks... Luongo has been a wall. Of the West's remaining teams still in it, San Jose looks to be the weakest of the bunch. Nabokov looks very beatable

Luongo was awesome this series... not so sure they would make easier second round opponents than Anaheim.

anybody following the Blues-Nucks series?? the Blues absolutely suck. that being said... i hope they can extend this series a game or two. i doubt it though.

Give credit where its due, Ozzie earned all his postseason praise... but Dom too earned his name on that very same Cup. He's unretired on us once before, I wouldn't put it past him to try and comeback. Its up to him whether he'll be happy with a backup role. On second thought, If Dom is hell-bent on playing in the Olympics, I don't want him back. His injury in the 06 Games tanked the Senators postseason.

well, if he's back in shape and IF he'll play backup for a million bucks or less, suit him up next year!! this cap crunch sure limits what Kenny can do in goal. I am not sold on Howard at all.

Its clear Kenny made his choice. IMHO, the Mule was signed at a reasonable cap hit. what potentially hurts is the contract length. I hope Franzen can stay productive and healthy for all those years. Power Forward is an awefully precarious position to play healthwise. Oh well, Kenny did what he had to get done. I am happy be exploited the rules. However, I hope the league addresses this Cap loophole before the next CBA. from henceforth, heaven help all those small market teams trying to re-sign their 30-goal scorers...

It all comes down to whether the BLUES want to face Vancouver or the Sharks in the first round...

no disrespect for the Blues... but I'd prefer to see them in the First Round. The Ducks are an experienced, gritty team who have won it all not so long ago. Alas, our Wings made their own bed... from the poor play down this last stretch. Its really all up to the Blues now.

i think this stat outlines what a total crock reg season penalty calling is. sure our goaltending is suspect... but when the Wings greatly outclass an opponent, skating circles around them earning nary a PPO its an utter travesty! heck, i feel Homer and Cleary get called just for sneezing the wrong way during road games. Honestly do these guys play that much differently on the road??

its to the City's detriment if Ilitch remains in the Joe. the current lease heavily favors the franchise. The only sad part is that Ilitch needs public money to build a new arena (ala Comerica Park). times are kinda tough lately, but hey.. there can't possibly be that many other good investments in the D.

I think Hossa's signing is in the bag. He was threatening to finish top-three in goalscoring leaguewide... before missing all those games with a "stiff neck". something tells me he (and his agent) aren't terribly worried about his personal stats.
