thank goodness it was not Pronger headed to Jersey... they already have a formidable team in NJ, moreso now that Brodeur is back. if they somehow dig up a replacement for Scott Steven's role, look out! NJD is the team to beat in the East in my book.
-
Lets say its Montreal... what could they have given up??
-
the only trouble I had with Avery's antics during that play was his deliberate stick waving in Brodeur's eyes/face. I suppose the refs at that game couldn't call a penalty cuz no contact was actually being made. I am glad the Avery rule was put into effect.

friend, you are spot on with that comment! Unfortunately, this probably assures that Witt won't be traded come Wednesday's trade deadline. I love the clip on the Kapenen hit. My Leaf buddies were still oogling the "hit" even after the Leafs got scored on (and eliminated). that footage is also the last time the Loafs tasted the playoffs... how fitting.

Hudler, without a doubt.
-
Fer goodness sakes, please someone out East take Pronger... please!!
-
can't they put more slack in the netting... to minimize the chances the puck will fly back out??
-
I was thinking somewhere along the lines of... 1. Derek Morris (PHX) 2. Jordan Leopold (COL) 3. Jason Smith (OTT) 4. Sean O'Donnell (LAK) 5. Marek Malik (TBL) one of the above.
-
I don't think he wants the Lady Byng this year...
-
when did Ozzie switch to butterfly style?
-
If Hudler can play in this league, so can Leino.

Is it time to make some major moves for this year's playoff run?

Laraque signed a three year contract at a vastly overpaid $1.5M caphit per. sorry folks, the hapless Habs are stuck with that... unless he's boughtout in the Fall. this won't dent Neil's trade value whatsoever. -
the guy reminds me alot of Z... not overly quick or flashy, but tonnes of poise. he has shown that he can create his own shot. added plus is that he seems to be a threat no matter what line he's on. this guy is definitely a keeper.

If Kenny's gonna make a move, I hope he can dig up a good physical defenseman somewhere. our defense turns to mush when Stuart is out... Kenny shouldnt pin all his hopes on Stuart's back, literally. -

I don't see how Kenny can fit a fourth line depth player. Downey and McCarty took two-way contracts just so they could hang around all year. If a move must be made, space must be opened up. -
got to hand it to them Sharks. they've been playing all out since the get go.
-
I expect the Wings to start coasting... especially if it looks like SJ is out of reach.
-
who cares about ottawa.... them Isles are deliberately trying to ensure that first overall pick. whats next... the fishsticks will trade with the Trashers and Lightning??
-
love him or hate him... take it to the bank, Crosby will be on team Canada.
-
not sure why eklund mentions sammy and the Wings becoming sellers at the deadline... sammy isn't on the books next year. shedding him now, even for prospects, does not help next year's cap. unless of course, Kenny intends to add salary at the deadline... that would pretty much supercede anything we'd get merely dumping sammy.
-
scratch montreal off that potential list.
-
why is everyone ignoring the obvious? the Wings will take a defensive defender. Kenny knows the D depth may be an issue, especially if Stuart is not 100%.
-
i had no idea the cap-restraints would let a team dump a player for only picks. damn good move by both teams.
