they always seem to connect with their cycling passes. they rarely have issues clearing the zone. our guys seem to go out of their way to make the high-risk pass or worse yet; soft, weak pass.

I feel sorry for all the poor saps who bought home tix for this series. this will be a an utterly futile event. the same could have been said for the late reg season home games. very deflating.

congrats Sharks! I hope you guys can make it a good Conference finals... I really thought last year was your Cup to take. Hockey is over for me, except maybe for the Cup finals game or two. Wings flub this postseason in a very quirky way... not sure what excuses they will muster, aside from age and complete lack of hunger. Get to work Kenny... I know you won't though.

As much as I love our Wings, yadda yadda.... i cannot see the West taking the Cup this year. All I see are creampuff SOFT defenses. save for maybe Nashville, the big brutish teams out East will eat this up whomever they meet.

i agree they shouldnt let up, but the wings have been playing crap for pretty much the past few weeks. i just hope they don't get slaughtered on national tv this weekend. or worse yet, get themselves injured. -

i think the Hawks control their own fate. any flub by dallas or calgary then the hawks are surely in. if once their playoff berth is locked up, the hawks might very well try to tank the last games. you just know they want vancouver or san jose. -

so what I conclude from what's being said: 1. with no priors you get one free shot. 2. if you are on the ice against a player with priors its okay (perhaps even preferable) to skate with head down.

I was at last night's game. not too pretty watching teams key up on Lidstrom, Howard and Zetterberg. These guys are every bit as crucial as the ones sitting out. p.s. you are welcome -
Oddly enough, I think Cooke got too much. 6-10 games would have been sufficient, maybe add a 1 game suspension to the HC for effect. The current outcome seems a little too much knee jerk reaction to Mario's griping. What if Cooke's victim got severely injured... we'd probably be looking at a lifetime ban by this scale. So if a star player (w/precedent) like Heatley throws an elbow, should he face a similar penalty? The league is painting itself into a corner with this one.

Wings are evidently mailing-in the remainder of the season. This will likely cost them second round home ice. I hope they are up for it! -
well, whatever the issue, it wouldn't hurt to remove or re-engineer those dangerous stantions

just like the fans, sponsors can do as they please. no one wants to see injured players splayed out on the ice... especially not the advertisers. how their requests will affect what the league actually does is another matter.
